At first the Galaxy Alpha smartphone seemed to be something of a beta device for a company that was famous for launching plastic smartphones . The metal clad smartphone was highly praised for its fit and finish but the rear plate was still made of plastic ,but now , Samsung has a solution for that with the all new limited edition JB Rautureau/Free Lance studios leather clad smartphones which retail for a EUR825 a pop . With a 100 editions of each design will be made , so it will be rarer than the standard Galaxy Alpha . The internals of the phone's are not changed but the units will have a special serial number and it will be unique as the phone will only be sold in France . Samsung has made the long rumored Galaxy A3 and A5 smartphones today , the devices , which fall into Samsung's metal framed Alpha brand are said to be more affordable than the orginal alpha while maintaining its signature metal build . First off we have the Galaxy A5 , this is Samsung's mid range smartphone , the phone has a Note 4 like design pattern with typical Samsung accents with the exception of the shiny metal chassis , which is also painted in the phones body color . Samsung has hit a perfect run with the Galaxy Alpha , although the phone has some shortcomings in  price and features , the design policy is certainly going in the right direction and it is now the chassis of the Note series as well as the upcoming Galaxy A series comprising of the affordable A3 , which is said to cost $350-400 unlocked along with the A5 , which costs $400 -$450 and a large screened phone called the Galaxy A7 which will cost about $500 .The three Alpha series phones will carry the signature metal frame and Amoled displays but the specs will vary according to the price bracket .The smallest member - The Galaxy Alpha A3 will have a 1.2 Ghz Snapdragon 410 processor , which is Qualcomm's 64 bit version of the popular 400 series . The phone will have 1 GB of RAM , 16GB of storage and a 8mp rear camera . Samsung has faced a lot of criticize for using poor quality plastic on their phones , although the build of Samsung devices were top notch , the finish - either fake leather  or dimpled / glossy finished plastic made their owners sometimes want more than just a phone , So after a few years , Samsung has finally introduced the metal premiumness   people demanded in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha .
