Nvidia has officially anounced its in car supercomputer called Nvidia Drive PX 2 . The system , designed to give self driving cars the next generational push it need is set up using Nvidias new Pascal gpu which boasts of 8 tflops - this power however comes from 2 pascal GPU cores and 2 ARM based Tegra cores .details about the two tegra cores are not listed , but all we can say is it is based on ARM's 64bit cortex A57 architecture and each of them are configured as a quadcore Soc . Maingear has upgraded their current gaming laptop aresnal with Nvidia's GTX980m and GTX970m mobile graphics . The new Mawell based GPU's , which offer 1536 CUDA cores on the GTX980m version and 1280 CUDA cores on the GTX970m are both mobile versions of the their desktop variants minus a few cores .The Maingear Nomad 17 , which is their flagship gaming laptop comes with the GTX980m kit while the Nomad 15 , Pulse 17 and Pulse 15 has the GTX970m option .The Maingear Nomad 17 with GTX980m version costs $2399 and the cheapest option with the 970m costs $2099 . Other laptops from Maingear running the GTX970m will cost more than $2000 which means that this is not the best budget purchase of the year , if you are budget conscious , check out the new Digital Storm gaming laptops  instead. Most of us thought the patent wars were over , but apparently Samsung has been taken to court once again over a infringement case which is filed by Nvidia this time . The ITC (U.S  International Trade commission)  , which governs and investigates such incidents is now probing the accusations set on the smartphone giant Samsung . Nvidia , which holds many patents in chip designing took on Samsung and it hopes to block many flagship products from entering the U.S market . The list of devices set to be included in the possible ban include - Samsung Galaxy S5 , S4 , Tab S , Tab 2 , Note 3 , Note 4 , Note Pro and Note Edge devices which run Qualcomm's Snapdragon processors and Samsung's own Exynos processors . Nvidia anounced their latest and the most expensive graphics card ever - The GTX Titan Z , the Titan Z is the third graphics card to follow the GTX Titan series and it packs the same GK110 Kepler GPU as the GTX Titan Black launched a few months ago . The impressive Titan Z packs a whooping 5760 GK110 cuda cores compared to the Titan black's 2800 , The Titan Z doubles the memory to 12 Gb over the Titan Black and has two 384bit memory channels .The Titan Z scores around 8 Teraflops , but unlike the Titan black,the GK110 cores are clocked to around 700 mhz each , and this puts it well below the Titan Z's 980Mhz per core ,but according to Nvidia spokesman Bryan Del Rizzo the reason to have a slower clock speed per was to make a "card that is cool and quiet, rather than hot and loud."
