Major app devs have come down hard on Blackberry BBOS during the past few weeks , Whatsapp - a popular IM/VoIP pulled out of Blackberry's ecosystem and Facebook reported that their native app will no longer work on Blackberry devices starting from 31st March . But in a change of attitude , Facebook has granted one last breath for the platform as the final update to Facebook will let users access the web version of the popular social media site witthout compromise . The web version however is clunky but it is a breath of fresh air for the zombified os . BlackBerry has rolled out a new smartphone at MWC 2014 called the Q20. The device is the latest to run the BlackBerry 10 operating system. The Q20 promises the classic button layout and QWERTY experience that BlackBerry fans remember and prefer. BlackBerry says that the Q20 smartphone has the familiar menu, back, send, and end buttons. The smartphone also has an integrated trackpad to enable fast and efficient navigation. The smartphone is also designed for one hand use. The buttons and trackpad are an integral part of the device and promise natural workflow. The QWERTY keyboard will use sculpted keys that are designed for the best typing experience possible. The smartphone will also have access to the BlackBerry Hub. The screen of the Q20 will be a 3.5-inch touchscreen. BlackBerry has shown off a couple smartphones at MWC 2014 including the Q20 that we talked about earlier. Along with the QWERTY keyboard Q20, BlackBerry is also unveiling an all-touch device called the Z3 smartphone. The Z3 has a 5-inch screen and no physical keyboard. The Z3 will run the BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.2.1. The phone will have access to the BlackBerry Hub, BBM, BlackBerry Keyboard, and more. The smartphone has an integrated FM tuner. The camera of the smartphone features Time Shift and Story maker functions to let you get the best photos possible. The Z3 is the first smartphone to come from the strategic partnership that BlackBerry made with Foxconn. That partnership was announced in December 2013. BlackBerry is withholding the hard specifications for the Z3. We have no idea what sort of processor it will use or how much it will cost. The Z3 will land with Indonesian carriers in April. In this time of Tribulation , Blackberry's Hero device  failed to make a impression and lead to a loss of $1Billion  For the second time in as many trading days, shares of BlackBerry were halted in advance of some big news from the company. Today's news is no less big. BlackBerry has just announced that it's signed a letter of intent agreement for a sale of the company valued at $4.7 billion to a consortium led by Fairfax Financial (the company's largest shareholder). Pending due diligence that's expected to be completed by November 4th, the deal would see BlackBerry go private, with shareholders each receiving $9 per share in cash. BlackBerry has just announced the Z30 - the smartphone with the largest touchscreen it has even put into production. Moreover, it's the first BlackBerry to ship with the company's latest version of BB 10 OS. The BlackBerry Z30 is built around a 5" Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. This makes the pixel density meter stop at 295 ppi. In its core, the Z30 is powered by a dual-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset and 2GB of RAM. Behind the battery back cover lies a 2,880mAh battery and measures 140.7 x 72 x 9.4mm. The larger battery found in the Z30 hasn't made it much thicker than the Z10 - the difference is just 0.1mm. The BlackBerry Z30 supports LTE as well as dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC. The back of the Z30 holds an 8MP camera with an f/2.2 lens and 1080p video recording capabilities. Canadian smartphone maker BlackBerry  has launched the BlackBerry 9720. The price of the phone has not been made official. The new phone will take a reverse mode as far as its operating system is concerned. Instead of the latest BlackBerry 10 platform, the new phone will run OS 7.1 version. The phone, to be available in five different colours, features a full physical QWERTY keyboard. The 2.8-inch touchscreen device packs a 806MHz Tavor MG1 processor. It has an internal storage of 512MB of RAM, expandable 32 GB using microSD card. There is no front facing camera in the phone, however, with a 5-megapixel rear camera you can get a 4X digital zoom. BlackBerry 9720 has dedicated BBM and BBM Voice shortcut keys, placed on the sides of the device. The phone will be available in a couple of weeks in select markets— Asia, EMEA and Latin America. An image of what is reportedly the BlackBerry A10, an upcoming BB 10 smartphone, has been leaked. The photo confirms that the handset will be build around a 5" display. The source claims that the BlackBerry A10, which is codenamed Aristo, will be equipped with a 1,280 x 720 pixel display, like its Z10 predecessor, rather than a full HD screen as available on most recent high-end smartphones. Other BlackBerry A10 we know so far include a Snapdragon chipset with a 1.5 GHz quad-core Krait processor along with 2 GB of RAM and an 8 megapixel primary camera. The design of the BlackBerry A10 looks quite similar to that of the BlackBerry Z10 except that this time the piece at the bottom is colored white, rather than black. BlackBerry A10 will run on BlackBerry 10 OS, but unfortunately, there is no word on the pricing and the launch date of the smartphone.
