Samsung Gear S

Samsung has a long tradition of making crazy ideas happen, the Gear S is no exception as it is probably the first consumer smartwatch to offer 3G  and GPS capabilities without being linked to another device . The stand-alone 3G smartwatch , which looks a bit like a stretched out Samsung Gear fit , will basically handle almost all the basic tasks of your phone as this is powered not by Android wear , but Samsung's very own Tizen . The Tizen OS , which already runs on almost all the Gear smartwatches has a good selection of apps so you won't feel bad .The display , which is a curved AMOLED , has a resolution of 480x360 and is 2" in size . The new gears bring a better set of health sensors including heart rate monitor, and an Infrared port for remote control of your home appliances. The internal storage and RAM remain limited like the last edition, and the battery has been downgraded to 300mAh (from 315mAh), which is a bit worrisome as battery life was one of the major drawbacks of the Galaxy Gear. Hopefully, Samsung has optimized Tizen OS to be more battery efficient than Android. Gear 2 Neo The new ...

Korean website Digital Times has reported that Samsung is already working on a sequel to its Galaxy Gear smartwatch, a bit of wearable technology that proved disappointing in certain aspects. The development is said to have started at the beginning of this month, and the Korean company hopes to launch it as early as the first quarter of next year.
