Samsung has officially announced their latest flagship smartphone , the Note 8 , the device , launched after the disastrous Note 7 hopes to please new users as well as those who are loyal to the Note lineup , even though that relationship may have been dodgy due to the battery related recall . The phone brings familiar cues from the S8 , a new square design and dual camera set up , all in a expensive and luxurious chassis . Design Samsung's design for the Note 8 is heavily influenced by the S8 launched earlier this year, the new Note , like its two previous predecessors , features a metal chassis and curved gorilla glass on both the front and back . The phone still features the traditional fingerprint sensor at the back - a la S8 , and it now features a dual camera set up in linear fashion . The Note series has been somewhat of a controversial topic for Samsung recently ,the company , which lost billions over the Note 7 fiasco has so far recovered from the sudden nosedive , and are now preparing to courageously launch the next installment of the Galaxy Note series - The Note 8 . But as always , leakers apparently caught wind of this device and decided to apparently snap and leak pictures depicting a case and the dual camera module which can be seen above . Although we are not sure of the final specifications for the Note 8 , the rumors indicate that it will feature  6GB of RAM paired with a Snapdragon 835 processor or a Exynos 8895 processor depending on your location .
