Verizon has launched a new prepaid smartphone with the partnership of LG. The phone ,available with $30,$45 and $60 prepaid plans with unlimited calls and texts and 1-3GB data caps is just priced at $69 for the smartphone . The phone , made by LG is called the Optimus Zone 3 ,and it features a 4.5" LCD display and has a 480p resolution .The phone features a 1.1 Ghz Snapdragon processor and has 1GB of Ram and 32GB of storage .The device features a 5 mp rear camera and a 2mp fromt facing one . For two years, LG has seemingly abandoned the booming Android tablet market, after the 8.9-inch Optimus Pad disappointed critics and failed to attract customers. But it looks that LG has been plotting a comeback. The first clue was a trademark filing that included the term “G Pad”, among a few others, suggesting that the Korean manufacturer was working behind the scenes on a new tablet. Now according to the Greek site TechBlog, the G Pad is not only real, but it’s coming our way in just a few weeks. Citing sources with knowledge of the device, TechBlog claims that the G Pad features an 8.9-inch display of 1920 × 1200 resolution, which translates to an approximate pixel density of 247 ppi. An unspecified quad-core processor (probably a Snapdragon 600 or 800) and 2GB of RAM will power the device. It’s become a race, suddenly, to deliver the first Android smartphone – or first smartphone with any mobile operating system, that is, to bring on a whopping 3GB of RAM, here between the Samsung Galaxy Note III and the LG Optimus G2. While neither device has been confirmed with full specifications delivered by its creator – or confirmed to exist, at that – both machines have been rumored just today to be carrying the next-level amount of processing capability. LG has announced the LG Optimus GJ, a waterproof Android handset, jumping into the pool alongside the likes of the Sony Xperia ZR. It offers IXP5 and IPX7 certification. The handset features a 4.7-inch IPS display, protected with Corning Gorilla Glass, with a 1280 x 720 resolution, along with a powerful 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 2GB of RAM. There's 16GB of storage which can be expanded with up to 62GB of microSD and, as you can take the back cover off, you can access the 2280mAh battery to swap it out on those long days. There's a 13-megapixel camera on the rear, and a 1.3-megapixel one on the front. You'll be able to capture 1080p video, as you'd expect, along with the usual Android 4.1 features and functions. This phone might very well be the LG Optimus G2 or Nexus 5. It might also be something completely different but our logic dictates we could speculate towards the Nexus approach. First there was the Google Nexus 4 made by LG and then there was the LG Optimus G. According to recent rumors Google and LG are working, again, on another Nexus phone made by the South Korean company. Now the Nexus 5, whatever it will be, might refer to a five-inch screen or the fifth Nexus phone. Nothing really solid to hold onto here but we know the Nexus 4 will be due for a refresh around October, considering the one-year release cycle of Google. Is the above image the LG Nexus 5? An anonymous source, who claims to work for Google, tells us this prototype is the real deal, but we are not sure what to make of it. There is a good chance that some basement dweller is trolling us hard, but this person has an interesting story so we thought it needed to be shared. The LG Optimus L9 was introduced to European markets in the second half of last year as the then newest member of the Optimus L-Series of devices. We first went hands with the LG back at IFA 2012 in Berlin, we found a surprisingly nice mid-range device. Since launch, the L9 has been running Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, but now it seems that European owners are getting a Jelly Bean flavored treat on their devices. According to reports, the update to Android 4.1 is rolling out in the Baltics region, Germany, Spain, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania and for the European Open devices. It can be downloaded via the LG Update Tool as well as OTA, but it's a pretty weighty one coming in at 575MB. What's more is the relative speed at which this update has appeared. The Optimus 4X HD was a really well built device with great 2012 specifications released in the middle of last year. But it had some severe software problems, and was locked down so tight nobody could do anything hackish to try and fix them. Glaring software bugs and lack of third-party support is a recipe for a dud in the Android community, and the phone languished away with very few folks paying any attention to it. Today, all that changes. Jelly Bean has been leaked, the bootloader has been unlocked, and there's already a ClockworkMod recovery built and ready to go.
