With Google IO 2015 just around the corner , the anticipation for new software as well as hardware in the form of Nexus devices are at a all time high . According to new rumors , Huawei is said to be chosen by Google to build one of its next Nexus devices .The move , which is said to bring a affordable nexus (possibly to replace the Nexus 5) was first brushed off as a rumor , but now Kevin Yang - director of China Research (iSupply) confirmed that the news is indeed true and Google is working with the Chinese OEM to produce the nexus device . If the said Huawei Nexus is true , we expect the already affordable Nexus 5 to to hit retirement , last year , when Google announced the $600+ Nexus 6 , potential nexus buyers were turned off from buying one as the price couldn't be justified as the older generation was $349 .
