When it comes to Android tablets , you can buy a device in a huge variety of screen sizes ranging from 7" to all the way up to about 12" but Alcatel -a company that has a long reputation for launching multiple devices at trade shows has unveiled the biggest one yet - the Alcatel Xess  17.3" tablet . At first glance ,t he Xess looks a bit like a all in one pc , well thats because Alcatel actually markets the tablet as a family oriented device which will sit on the kitchen counter at one time and the child's bedroom the next . The large 17.3" tablet however is not going to be suitable for any gaming unless you have a controller around , but then again the ppi count will surely be a turn off as well as the 2GB of RAM and the 1.5Ghz Octa core chip inside it . The video shows a BMW turning left at a intersection , the dash-cam video is recorded by another driver behind the BM ,as both cars turn , the BM hits the brakes very hard ,and right then , another car appeared right in front of the BM ,missing the BM by inches to spare , the spooky-ness of the video was further enhanced thanks to a set of headlights from another vehicle on the opposite end showing a driverless- empty car moving across the road . The state of California has ordered Google to move its massive floating barge away from its current construction site in the San Francisco Bay. San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission executive director Larry Goldzband said the four-story structure has drawn numerous complaints. "It needs to move," Goldzband said. He also claims that Google never had the proper permits to start work on the project at Treasure Island. But today's development may not spell any real trouble for Google — the company simply needs to relocate the barge to another Bay facility where construction is fully permitted. The news was first reported by the Associated Press. Sightings of the barge led to rampant speculation about its purpose last year. Google eventually admitted ownership of the San Francisco barge, teasing that it hopes to explore using it as a space where "people can learn about new technology." A "jelly doughnut-sized" rock has appeared in front of the Opportunity rover on Mars, and scientists can't figure out where it came from, Discovery News reports. The discovery was revealed by Mars Exploration Rover lead scientist Steve Squyres in a "10 years of roving Mars" keynote at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory last night. "Mars keeps throwing new stuff at us!" he exclaimed, discussing past rover findings, but this time, he meant it literally. The rock, which scientists have dubbed "Pinnacle Island," appeared in front of Opportunity for one of two reasons, NASA says: the rover flipped the rock as it maneuvered, or the rock landed there after a nearby meteorite impact. Either way, the intrepid Opportunity now has something new to look at. Intricately carved tokens from a nearly 5,000-year old board game have been unearthed in southeast Turkey, reports Discovery News. The 49 found pieces may be the oldest gaming tokens ever recovered, and they should help to back the current theory that board games originated in the Middle East over five millennia ago. "Some [tokens] depict pigs, dogs, and pyramids, others feature round and bullet shapes," Haluk Sağlamtimur, a researcher with Ege University who helped to uncover the tokens, tells Discovery. The researchers also found dice and circular tokens among the pieces, which were painted in colors including black, blue, green, red, and white. The tokens were found at Başur Höyük, a burial plot in Turkey. In the past, similar pieces have been found in both Syria and Iraq, but not as part of a set. If you're in Texas, Florida or other Southern states this summer, watch out for "crazy ants," warns Edward LeBrun, a University of Texas research associate who studies the species. Also known to scientists as Nylanderia fulva, they're called crazy because of their unpredictable movements and swarming populations. The bug is reddish-brown, about an eighth of an inch long and has a hankering for honey dew — with a side of electronics. The insects nest anywhere and are easily transported, but so far have mostly infested Texas and several Southern states after being inadvertently transported from South America by humans. They've spread to 24 counties in Texas, 20 in Florida and a few in Mississippi and Louisiana, according to LeBrun's study, published in the journal Biological Invasions. This machine is known as the DomiCopter and though it won’t be hitting the side of your house this week, it might be out there eventually. What you’re seeing – and I can’t be clear enough about this – is a test run for a future product: that is, not something that’s out there now. The newly-announced Archos ChefPad is a budget-level Android tablet with a 9.7-inch XGA screen, an adjustable stand and silicone case to protect against splashes. Archos also has also loaded it up with a selection of cooking apps and suitably foody wallpaper. The ChefPad is powered by an unnamed dual-core 1.6GHz CPU and Mali 400MP GPU, with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD slot. On the software side it's running a pretty vanilla-looking Android 4.1 Jelly Bean UI with Google Play. The food-centric tablet is due to become available from June, with prices starting at $209.99 from the company's online store.
