During the past few months , Mediatek has been steaming on full speed ahead in terms of mobile processors , now they are hoping to break the ice on mobile data sharing by introducing a new NFC rival called HotKnot , although the name has no technical meaning , the system works through a special capacitor touch ICs for touchscreens, combined with data from the smartphone’s proximity and gravity sensor, for now Mediatek has not gone into detail about hotknot , but we can expect some major Chinese OEM's like lenovo ,Oppo to pick this technology up due to its lower cost compared to the antenna and RF chip used in NFC GSMArena
