Apple announces new silicon, EarPods 3 and MacBook Pro refresh

Apple has announced their latest custom silicon powered MacBook Pro's. The refresh, which basically ends the last of the intel MacBook devices from Apple's existing lineup also consists of improved M1 processors dubbed the Apple M1 Pro and Apple M1 Max Apple M1 Pro and M1 Max The two new processors are basically an evolution of the already successful ARM based M1 Soc, the processors, which still use the base M1 architecture, offers 70% more CPU power thanks to a 10 core design with 8 high performance cores and 2 efficiency cores, while the GPU Core count is basically where the M1 Pro and M1 Max blows the year-old SOC out of the water as the M1 Pro offers 1x more graphic power (16 cores) over the M1 while the M1 Max consists of 4X the performance (32 Cores) while the Pro has a total of 32GB RAM support while the Max has support for 64GB. Of course the MacPro still holds on to its Intel internals, but Apple will surely update that to a variant of the M1 in the future, and it won...

Alleged leaks show new Apple Mac Mini design

Apple is said to announce a new refresh of its Mac mini sometime this year, the new design, which according to FPT's renderings show a new re-design of the console-pc with a flatter design reminiscent of the original design from 2009 sans the thickness. The model is said to come with a "plexiglass-glass type top cover" and possibly color options as well. The bottom of the Mac is said to feature rubber feet instead of a circular access port found on the older models and has a vent for cooling.  The rear of the Mac mini is said to bring the "MagSafe" charger from the new iMac's. The rear also features 4x USB C thunderbolt, 2 USB A ports, 1X HDMI and 1 Ethernet port. The rumors also indicate that the device can come in a 64GB Ram option paired with the next Apple SOC - which could be either the M1X or M2. Please note that these are rumors and its best advice to treat them as such - although a fair number of these rumors sometimes do turn out to be true. Source ...

Apple to discontinue it's iMac Pro

Apple is apparently set to pull the plug on the iMac Pro - it's all in one desktop pc with a 10 Core Xeon W processor retailed at an eyewatering $4999. The desktop has had a market of its own and sales figures of the device are still not known, but considering that apple is moving towards its own chipsets, discontinuing the intel setup could likely mean that Apple is either setting up to re-launch a new re-designed iMac Pro or kill off the segment altogether.  Via - Engadget
