Motorola's Moto 360 is the most popular Android Wear device to date , the watch , designed in a round (flat tire) design made it a instant as rival products went on a squarish design philosophy which didn't appeal well to the masses . Although Android wear is still a bit "small" in comparison , the market is expected to grow as Android Wear is slowly pushed to potential iOS users who are keen to try new hardware . Lenovo CEO on Motorola - "exciting products" to launch this summer

After Motorola's acquisition by Lenovo , the once stagnant company has made a huge comeback in the form of new devices and more customers .Owned once by Google , Motorola did see some success but after Lenovo's takeover , the company turned a new page and went all out on the mainstream market in the form of MicroSD card equipped smartphones , a new Nexus and the most popular Android wear watch to date - Moto 360 . Google drops Moto 360 to $165

The Moto 360 is probably one of the best Android wear smartwatches you can buy , the watch , which is also the highest selling Android watch has now officially dropped to $165 from a previously fixed price of $249 (Amazon and Walmart dropped the price a day earlier to $179 , but now playstore is offering it for even less) . The drop , which many attribute to Motorola's annual refresh cycle is rumored to be the main reason for the price reduction .The current $165 model comes with a leather band , but you can pay a bit more and get the steel version for about $219 through Amazon . Moto 360 goes champagne gold

The Moto 360 is probably one of the most popular smartwatches to date , the luxury looking "round" watch was originally sold for $249 , but the leather strap and the "steel" or stealth black option was not enough for many ,so the company decided to introduce a Champagne Gold version of the watch with a metal strap which is now taking the Moto 360's price to $299 .The standard steel versions are also available with a metal strap , and they too cost $299 The Moto 360 Gold and standard versions with the metal strap will be sold from Google Play but the company says that availability of these products might be limited due to demand. IFA is going to be big this year , but in order to avoid the rush , many manufacturers release their device early in order to get better media attention , LG is one such company , yesterday , they anunced the LG G3 Stylus smartphone , and today they launched their Second Android wear smartwatch - The LG G Watch R . At first glance , the watch looks a bit like the Moto 360, but unlike the Moto 360 - which is not completly round because of a sensor bezel at the bottom , the G Watch R is complete circular with a number inscribed ring to make it look more "authentic" . Android wear was originally demo'ed a few months back , but now the Android based smartwatch platform is finally official . With the Announcement of Android L and its card like UI with its Material design , Android based smartwatches are finally at a level where they can go mass market starting today . The Android wear initiative is lead by LG ,Samsung and Motorola , who have teamed up in creating three different hardware models with Motorola taking things a bit too hard with its round design . The other two devices use the standard cube design but Truth be told  , all three serve the same purpose .
