Apple just announced the new iPad Air 2 , the new iPad Air , which is said to be only 6.1mm thin is by far the thinnest tablet we've seen , the new thickness is achieved by a new display laminating method that kicks off some of the fat in previous iPad displays , this method has also helped the ipad achieve a 5% higher outdoor visibility rating than previous models  .The processor has also been beefed up with 2GB of RAM , the A8X soc , which follows Apple's 64bit chip design has 3Billion transistors and it has a 40% faster CPU speed and a 2.5x GPU rating . The cameras on the new iPad Air 2 have also been revamped , the new unit gets a 8mp camera with slow motion recording and a improved front facetime camera , the battery however has been left alone and it still offers the same 10 hour batterylife of previous generations even with the new hardware .
