Microsoft's Windows 10 operating system recieved a lot of flak over the past few months for being too pushy .This however has not stopped its adoption rate and many coroprate firms are already shifting to the new operating system , But as with the case when Windows 8 came along , many users still prefered the older Windows 7 operating system  as it was the most stable operating system so far , this has however reduced the number of users who want to upgrade and therefore Microsoft made a unpopular move by stating that Windows 7 and 8 support on Skylake processors winn end in July of 2017 . This move however brought in negative press and therefore Microsoft has now stated that they will support Windows 7 , 8 and 8.1 through 2017 upto 2018 . This is said to give ample time for users to shift to Windows 10 if you want to use the next gen skylake processors . After Cyanogenmod's OnePlus betrayal , the small startup company decided to go on its own path of releasing a custom ROM for the OnePlus One ,after many months of work , the company is finally announcing details about their upcoming Oxygen Os  . According to OnePlus , the Oxygen OS Rom is said to be unique to the OnePlus One , created by the newly announced OnePlus OxygenOSTeam  , the ROM is said to be based on Android 5.0.2 initially ,but a 5.1 based version is possibly down the pipe as well . The OS is said to be a download and flash ROM instead of a OTA update , the os will have a "closeness to stock(Android" and it is said to include Google's stock camera as the filter camera in the Cyanogenmod Rom is basically kicked out . Oneplus has not announced any launch dates for this new ROM  , but we can expect it to pop up anytime soon as the current OnePlus one is stated to get updated for another whole year ( until the middle of 2016 ),so if things go as planned , ...

After completing a decade of service , Microsoft has finally pulled the plug on the aged Windows XP operating system today , the move was scheduled in advance , but many companies have not upgraded most of older their work terminals , so the software still exists in a Zombified form . Microsoft  has agreed to provide such companies with a Custom service support suite -which will help them migrate their devices to a never version of Windows (TM) but this is sadly not available for consumers ,so if you haven't switched from Windows XP yet ,it is high time you consider a upgrade . The deadline for software support on Governmental and private computers will end next month as the Windows XP platform winds down after 13 years of service on the 8th of April (Next Month) . The move to widthdraw support for the platform was known to many ,but due to the slow process of upgrading computers the platform still runs on 10% of governmental computers many ATM and other business terminals which are now at risk of being hacked . Much-loved media player Winamp will shutter on December 20, 2013, the company has announced, with the AOL-owned software planning to cease all of the related web services and yank the official download. The news, quietly announced alongside version 5.66 of the software, ends fifteen years of the app being offered, with the Winamp team warning that anybody wanting a copy before it’s pulled should download soon. AOL acquired Winamp creators Nullsoft back in June 1999, paying $80m in stock at the time. Since then, the software has been gradually developed – most recently adding new Windows 8 support and the capability of importing an iTunes Library. However, the rise of the iPod and its companion iTunes software, along with streaming media services like Spotify, meant that Winamp’s appeal waned. Legendary open source video playback application VLC — widely known for compatibility with a huge number of file formats — received a noteworthy update today. Version 2.1 includes improved audio processing, including proper and complete support for surround sound output. But most notably, this is the first version of VLC to offer 4K playback, though it's still in its preliminary stages. It's still incredibly difficult to find videos at such high resolution, but with a number of 4K TVs and monitors on the market there is certainly some interest. VideoLAN has also updated its Android and iOS ports of VLC, with the former now offering support for far more devices than in the past. There are also new "partial ports" of VLC for Windows Phone 8, Windows RT, and the "Metro" interface in Windows 8 and 8.1.
