GoPro Hero 11 Black and GoPro Hero 11 Black mini announced.

  GoPro has announced their latest iteration of their GoPro action cameras - the new Hero 11 and a new successor to the Session lineup - the GoPro Hero 11 mini. GoPro Hero 11 Black - This is basically the successor to last year's Hero 10 Black and like the Hero 10, it improves upon the new chassis design brought by the hero 10 and it features the collapsible action camera mount and color display. The camera sensor (1/1.9") resolution has been bumped up to 27MP and has a 8:7 aspect ratio (photos as well) with settings which allow it to shoot vertical - 9:16 videos for TikTok and 1:1 clips for instagram and the standard 16:9 resolution for everything else. The sensor is capable of shooting 10 bit 5.3K (60fps) and has auto stabilization including horizon lock as well as Hypersmooth 5.0 stabilization first introduced with the Hero 7. GoPro Hero 10 is official

GoPro's latest action camera is official. the new Hero 10, a successor to the 9 - brings some familiar features from the 9 - including the 5K video recording and the front display and improves upon features such as Hypersmooth 4.0 which offers internal stability for video and new image enhancements with the 23.6 MP sensor from the previous model. Powering the new Hero 10 is a Gopro GP2 processor, this allows 5.3K video 60fps recording and it has a mode which lets you capture 15.8MP stills from the 5.3K video which is an improvement over the outgoing model.  The other specs include improved SuperPhoto mode for the best in camera image processing and improved RAW photography. Other features include 4K at 120fps , 2.7K at 240 fps and due to the similarities between the 9 and 10 , batteries are interchangeable but at the cost of a slightly lower battery life. GoPro Hero - GoPro's most "affordable" action camera yet!

GoPro has officially announced the GoPro Hero 2018, the new model , designed to replace the Hero Session line of cameras, offer a Hero 5/6 chassis and an affordable $200 price tag. The camera, designed around a GoPro Hero 5 /6 chassis, offers water resistance out of the box with no added casing - a major selling point as no special accessories will be required to make it waterproof. The camera also features compatibility with existing GoPro Hero 5/6 accessories as well as the ability to use GoPro Hero 5 batteries -making the camera a great backup for someone who already owns a flagship GoPro camera . The rear features a touchscreen display and this is same as the one found on the flagship models. GoPro Hero 6 and GoPro Fusion 360 unveiled

The action camera market has seen a relative boom during the past few years . Although much of the success can be attributed to Chinese brands like Xiaomi's Yi,  SJcam  (and hundreds of GoPro knockoff brands ) . The main player is still GoPro and therefore their latest announcement is important not only from a company standpoint , but also as a major driving force in the industry . The Hero 6 improves on the Hero 5 in many areas,but the design and core functionality has not changed .Therefore the Hero6 is a faster Hero 5 with the major changes being The new 4K 60fps , the new quickstories function and the faster wifi plus GoPro's custom image processor .While these features are expected of a high end action camera ,the Hero6's success will mostly depend on how well the 4k/60fps holds up against the new wave of high end smartphones which can do just that . GoPro has so far been the prime target of just about every action maker out there , with knock offs and unique action cameras which can run rings around the current GoPro 5 , the urge to up the ante has been felt heavily by the company .With rivals like the Xiaomi Yi action cameras pushing 4k@60fps , chances are that GoPro will include this in their next iteration - the GoPro 6 which has been leaked in a Chinese wifi certification sheet . The sheet , which can be found here , lists a GoPro product without much detail except for an entry date , this however does hint that the company is preparing to go big with their announcement soon . GoPro Fusion - 360 in 5.2K

GoPro has anounced their latest camera system called the GoPro Fusion - a 360 degree camera with 5.2K recording . The new device , aimed directly at the new 360 craze , positions itself to be a true 360 capable action/sports camera .the 5.2K at 30fps is currently in a development stage   but so far the demo video (you can scroll around the interactive video below) which was recorded off a Fusion does show that the stitching software has worked well . GoPro may have taken quite a beating over the past few years , but the company is still regarded as the top dog when it comes to action cameras in general . With the anouncement of the Karma drone and the Hero 5 series , the company was finally able to hold off the hordes of rivals and after a year , the company has decided to unveil a new software update for its GoPro hero 5 series wih the addition of new languages including Russian , Portugese and Korean to the voice cabale video camera . CES 2016 - Nikon Keymission 360

Nikon has unveiled a new GoPro killing action camera called the Keymission 360 . The camera , designed to be taken on a helmet mount or just about anywhere is capable of 360 degree recording at 4K . The camera , like most action cameras  is water and shock /thermal resistant (100ft/ 30m water and 2m drops)  .The content shot on such a device can easily be available for viewing on VR headsets through a smartphone tethering via Wifi,Bluetooth NFC .
