Apple announces iOS 15  Apple's next major OS upgrade was announced at WWDC, the new update - which is still in beta form will be shipping to current iOS devices later this year, but for now let's look at some features of the upcoming update-  Notifications - Notifications have been updated with a new priority and summary stack view. Apple is also said to announce a new feature called Focus which will allocate every task according to set filters (eg - morning routine etc) and will intelligently stack them accordingly.  Apple is also set to announce a a live text feature in the camera to enhance text in photos and scanned documents.  Another feature is the addition of spatial audio for facetime, and groups for Facetime, and Facetime is now said to be available for Android and Windows devices - but it will be open through a web portal rather than an app  Quick-share Apple TV and Music links and play at the same time are also said to be coming to iOS15  Other ...

Project Astoria , a developer bridge tool which allows developers to port Android apps to Windows (phone) has officially been canceled . The tool kit , announced along side Microsoft's Project islandwood (a tool to easily port iOS apps) at Microsoft's 2015 Build conference promised a quick and easy solution to address Windows Phone's app crisis . If it went into effect , Project Astoria would allow developers to re use some of the Android code and optimize it to run on Windows phone , currently Windows phone devices have around 500,000-700,000 apps and many prominent apps are still not available on the platform . Although the move would have address some of the apps to be re packaged , the lack of interest and the complexity in maintaining Project Astoria meant that it was a dead duck since its conception . Apple has unveiled the long rumored iPad Pro - a 12.9" tablet designed for the workplace , although the tablet was long said to be just a myth ,the device was shown off in all its artistic and workhorse glory today (September 9) at a special event held in San Francisco . Apple has apparently started to lock jailbreakers down on iOS 8 . the current version of iOS 8 (8.13) is said to be a bit of a honey pot trap for potential jailbreakers as Apple stopped signing  iOS 8.1.2 , this means that if you plan to update your jailbroken iOS device to 8.1.3 , you will be basically stuck on the new version  with no way to jailbreak or return back to the previous version . Gameloft has two main cash cow titles in its app belt , on one side , you have the modern combat series , and on the other , you have the popular Asphalt series , the Asphalt series is basically a full on arcade style racing game that is almost 9 generations long .
