Sony has been teasing about their 35mm cinema camera for a few months now. The camera , which was said to be a member of Sony's High End CineAlta series was rumored to bring a whole new sensor category to the lineup which has so far been exclusively Super 35 (APS-H) . And now , after months of speculation , the product is finally official . Say hello to the Sony CineAlta Venice . The Venice , which , as said above , packs a 35mm full frame sensor instead of the industry default "Super 35" ,the sensor, which is capable of 6k , allows the camera to cater a wider set of requirements including the ability to utilize full frame E mount (or adapted) and PL mount lenses to shoot in Full frame , Anamorphic / Spherical and Super 35 modes (The video resolution is 4K in this mode).The E and PL mounts are modular , and they can be swapped easily .
