Zhiyun has announced their new Weebil 2 gimbal - a replacement for the original compact system designed for fast paced movements and mirrorless cameras.  The new Weebil 2 , which is now lighter at 1.5kg has one major improvement over its predecessor - that being the addition of a 2.9" monitor which now lets you control all parameters without the need for an app - and when paired with Transmount Image transmitter AI, the display can be used as a reference out eliminating the need for a external mounted display. But if the need persists (such as a 1st camera assistant  requiring a display) - Zhiyun does sell the Mastereye visual controller with its pro kit and this can output 1080p footage to a monitor at a delay of 60m/s upto 150m . DJI has officially announced their successor to the OSMO Mobile handheld gimbal . The first version , was received positively but it was mostly knocked out by the market due to aggressive pricing by rival companies such as Zhyiun . The new version , priced at a decent $129 brings much needed improvements (more tilt,pan ,rotation angles ) and the ability to shoot hyperlapse stle videos with its built in software . The gimbal has a battery life of 15 hours per charge and you can shoot and charge at the same time thanks to MicroUSB charging . The companion app - available for iOS and Android allows your phone to easily tether via Bluetooth LE . DJI has officially announced the RONIN S - a handheld gimbal designed to take on similar systems from Zhyiun and Feiyu and many others . The gimbal , designed with large Mirrorless and DSLR cameras in mind (example 5Dmk4 / A7 series cameras) uses brushless motors to stabilize any device connected to DJI’S cradle mounting plate . The gimbal , equipped with an axis lock to stop the gimbal from rattling around during setup . The companion Ronin app , designed to give users the ability to set up pre positioned camera movements , calibrate axis movement and control aspects of the gimbal without turning the system off , also included with the system is a joystick for manual control and the gimbal is also ready for external attachments such as a follow focus system if need be . Dji has anounced the latest successor to its popular Ronin lineup . The new Ronin 2 , designed to work faster , carry more weight and offer precision to a fast changing industry. The new Ronin 2 , weighing in at 5.5kg for the whole set up (4.2 without the handle bar) is also the first Ronin to be splash resistant as the cables have been placed inside the structure . The new ronin also has a GPS module which can keep track of moving targets even when its mounted to a moving structure such as a Russian arm moving at 75mph     . Power supply on the Ronin 2 includes x4 14.4V (8A total) ports , x2 12.6V (4A total) close to the camera cage and motor and one 12.6V port near the battery mount which can provide about 2.5 hours of power to a high end rig such as a Red Dragon and the Ronin 2 gimbal simultaneously . Chinese gimbal manufacturer Gudsen has anounced a new 3 axis motorized gimbal for an affordable cost . The new Moza Air - which can support camera systems upto 2.5kg(5.5lb) can work in full 360 even when attached to a mechanical stability unit . The unit is said to have an average battery life of 4 hours with its 2000 mAh battery and the unit also has a wireless feature which allows users to remotely control the gimbal from a distance of 10m with a smartphone .
