Under the hood of the Lenovo Vibe X, you'll find a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589T processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. There's also a 13MP primary camera, and a 5MP front-facer, which boasts a 84-degree viewing angle for video conferencing. No word on what sort of battery will power it all, but the device sports Gorilla Glass 3 protection as well, and is set to run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The Lenovo Vibe X is slated for a release in China this October, and a wider release in December. Pricing has not yet been revealed.

The smartwatch era is officially here and Qualcomm has just announced their very own smartwatch to rival the Galaxy Gear, and many others. Wearable computing is only going to grow, and Qualcomm wants to help lead the charge by jumping in early. Today at Qualcomm Uplinq 2013 they’ve announced the Qualcomm TOQ always-on smartwatch. Samsung has updated its Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, detailing the device's new features during its Unpacked event preceding the start of the IFA consumer tech trade show in Berlin. The new device, dubbed the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), will come with a 10-inch WQXGA Super clear LCD (2560 x 1600) resolution display, a 1.9 GHz Octa-core processor (for 3G / WiFi-only version) or 2.3GHz Quad-core processor for the 4G model. It will come with 3GB RAM, up from 2GB in last year's model, 16, 32 or 64GB of storage and a microSD slot to expand things even further. Running Android 4.3, the device also offers the latest version of Wi-Fi (ac) and comes with a whopping 8,220mAh battery - also improved from the current model. In what must be IFA 2013′s best candidate for “Jack of All Trades” smartphone device is the ALCATEL ONE TOUCH HERO (all in caps, to be proper), with a built-in stylus, E Ink cover, and Pico Projector accessory. Sony Xperia Z1 a.k.a Honami has appeared in numerous leaks and we even saw a press image of the upcoming cameraphone from Sony. Now, the high-res versions of the official press renders of the Xperia Z1 have been leaked ahead of its announcement at IFA, Berlin. Acer is on hand at IFA 2013 and has pulled the wraps off an updated Aspire R7 notebook. This isn’t a completely new notebook, we reviewed the first generation back in June. The updated notebook still has the fancy Ezel hinge for the screen. That hinge allows the notebook to be used in several modes of use including full tablet mode. The big upgrade for the notebook that Acer is announcing at the show is that the notebook now includes the latest fourth-generation Intel processors and Acer Active Pen to improve the machines touch experience. The updated R7 maintains the same odd touchpad placement and touchscreen configuration as the original. The idea behind the strange touchpad placement is to place the keyboard keys closer to the edge of the notebook making typing more comfortable. You’ve got to hand it to Asus: their precocity brought quality to an Android tablet market previously relegated to cheap, underpowered, plastic nastiness. Though the company is perhaps best known for the Nexus 7, the Google-branded budget tablet, its first blockbuster brand catered almost exclusively to spec enthusiasts, packing then high-end internals into a 10-inch form factor. Despite quality control issues, they proved a favorite of Googlers and bleeding edge tech adopters alike. It comes as no surprise, then, that Asus released follow-up devices to continue to fill that profitable niche, most recently the Transformer Pad TF300 and Transformer Pad Infinity. Acer has decided not to wait until IFA officially kicks off and has announced its Iconia A3 10″ tablet in both Wi-Fi and 3G versions. The slate is running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU. The 10″ display is of IPS variety and features a modest 1280 x 800 pixel resolution resulting in a pixel density of 149ppi.( GSMArena ) Update -  Prices for Europe The Wi-Fi model of the A3 is coming to Europe, the Middle East and Africa in October, with a 3G version to follow the month after. The pre-IFA festivities from Acer continue, as the company has just announced the DA241HL, a 24″ Android-powered all-in-one featuring a quad-core Tegra 3 processor. The AiO operates on the Android 4.2 build, which allows you to enjoy the latest games and apps in all their glory on the fullHD 24-inch display. The Tegra 3 chip is usually found in mobile devices, but it makes sense for Acer to put it in this large-screened touch panel as it’s already optimized to work with the Android platform. The 4.2 Android release also features multi-user support, meaning that it can support custom settings and apps for up to 5 individual users. The DA241HL comes with MHL connectivity and an HDMI port, meaning that it can connect to a PC to become a 2-point touch display as well. Archos unveiled its IFA lineup a few days early – the new additions include many tablets and smartphones, all powered by pure, unskinned Android. The comp any is introducing a new line, Oxygen. The Archos 50 Oxygen features a FullHD screen, 13MP main camera and 5MP secondary camera, quad-core 1.5GHz processor running Android 4.2 and 16GB of storage. The new phones in the Titanium range will start at €99 with a 4" screen, dual-SIM connectivity, 5MP main camera, dual-core processor running Android 4.2. The Platinum range will see new phones too, but Archos will unveil the full details for them and its other new phones at IFA. The Archos 97b Platinum tablet is an iPad 4 competitor with aluminum body, a 9.7" screen with 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution. You know Samsung's "Designed for Humans" motto that it introduced alongside certain flagship Galaxy phone? Well, judging from the first teaser video it posted on its IFA 2013 expo presence, that slogan might be changing to "Designed by Aliens". Android users in the UK are set for a treat this fall. An anonymous tipster, who claims to work for UK carrier Three UK, has passed along a screenshot regarding device release dates. The picture, believed to be internal documentation from Three, shows the release dates for two highly anticipated devices: the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Sony Xperia Z1. The Note 3 is arriving on Three September 16th, while the Z1 (Honami) is set to arrive on September 24th, according to the document. Both devices show the announcement date of September 4 at IFA, hinting that employees should not be discussing the news with customers or, you know, sending screenshots to Engadget. The screenshot also shows The Sony Xperia Z Ultra arriving on September 9th, which is contradictory to news we’ve heard. Ahead of IFA, Archos has outed (maybe) all of their new devices — and there are plenty of them. In a move which was probably designed to get them more exposure against a stacked IFA, the new lineup of Android tablets and phones from Archos is deep. Their tablet lineup is flagshipped by their aptly named Platinum line, which boasts quad-core processors and aluminum casings. The screens have an impressive 2,048 x 1,536 maximum resolution, and they’ll be running Android 4.2. Archos’ Second tier offering, the 101SX2, is “designed for performance, media playback and productivity” (because no other tablet is?), and boasts a quad core processor with front facing speakers. The latest leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 show off what is allegedly the front panel of the devices. While no measurements were provided alongside the images, according to previous leaks the device is set to feature a 5.7-inch diagonal - up from the 5.5" on the Note II. After many different values for the screen diagonal of the Note III, the rumor mill seems to have settled on 5.7". That would make for another 0.2" jump, after the original Note had a 5.3" screen, and its sequel had a 5.5" display. Note that the image is a composite of two separate shots that have been scaled to match the alleged 5.7" diagonal of the Note III. More interesting is that the bezels are thinner (they measure just 2.2mm) and the whole panel is barely bigger. Depending on how the sides of the phone are made, the Note III can be as little as 1mm taller and wider than the Note II. Not seen in this photo, but the new panel is reportedly thinner too....

A new report coming from Korea reveals Samsung is working on a 16MP camera module with optical image stabilization. The new sensor is intended to be used in company's upcoming Galaxy flagships. Unfortunately Samsung's suppliers won't make enough sensors in time for the Galaxy Note III release. This means that the new camera will most probably premiere with the Galaxy S5 next year according to the report. Samsung already has a smartphone with a 16MP OIS camera - the Galaxy S4 Zoom - but it's a hybrid device with 10x optical zoom and therefore it's pretty huge. Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note III next month in Berlin, so we'll know soon enough if those new sensors will make it to the phablet or not.

The Sony Xperia Z1, erstwhile known as 'Honami', has leaked once again, this time through a press image. This latest image shows the device in three colors: black, white and purple. The colors are identical to the ones the Xperia Z is sold in and the device itself looks remarkably similar. One major difference between the exterior of the Z and the Z1, however, is the metal frame that runs around the device. It's unclear whether the metal acts are merely the frame for the device or also doubles up as the antenna as on the iPhone. The Xperia Z1 is Sony's upcoming flagship Android smartphone that has been rumored for quite some time now. Just like the Samsung Galaxy S4, the Samsung Galaxy Note III is allegedly going to launch in a couple of versions each sporting a different chipset under the hood. Apparently, SamMobile has got hold of a list of countries to which Samsung is going to distribute the Galaxy Note III powered by the Exynos 5420 Octa chipset and the Snapdragon 800 variants. The Exynos 5420-powered Galaxy Note III is listed under the SM-N9000 model name, while the Galaxy Note III with Snapdragon 800 goes by the SM-N9005 name and it is the one to sport LTE connectivity. Unfortunately, the Exynos-one lacks 4G network support. Both versions are going to pack 3GB of snappy LPDDR3 RAM.
