Samsung has officially announced their latest flagship smartphone , the Note 8 , the device , launched after the disastrous Note 7 hopes to please new users as well as those who are loyal to the Note lineup , even though that relationship may have been dodgy due to the battery related recall . The phone brings familiar cues from the S8 , a new square design and dual camera set up , all in a expensive and luxurious chassis . Design Samsung's design for the Note 8 is heavily influenced by the S8 launched earlier this year, the new Note , like its two previous predecessors , features a metal chassis and curved gorilla glass on both the front and back . The phone still features the traditional fingerprint sensor at the back - a la S8 , and it now features a dual camera set up in linear fashion . Samsung has unveiled a large screen phablet version of their Galaxy S6 Edge today , the phone ,known simply as Galaxy S6 Edge+ brings a curved unibody design and a premium price for the 5.7" behemoth . The Edge+ , launched along side the flagship Note5 smartphone  the phone sits in the boundary between the Galaxy S lineup and the large screened Note lineup as it has a somewhat lower price and almost identical specs as the Note except for the S-Pen . The display on the phone is a 5.7" SAMOLED panel with a resolution of 2560x1440p and 518ppi , the curved display will surely be a bit of a gimmick but the curve helps with the natural finger swipes as it glides smoothly opposed to running over a hindrance like a bezel or a edge found on rival products . Samsung has unveiled its fifth iteration of its most popular phablet smartphone - The Samsung Galaxy Note today , launched along side the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus , the Note 5 brings Samsung's new unibody construction and tried and tested S-Pen features in a somewhat compact 5.7" . First look at the device shows us that the new Note 5 is a completely different animal compared to the previous generations , all previous models of the Note lineup featured utilitarian builds and removable back panels with removable batteries and somewhat hot swappable MicroSD cards - two features that are now absent in the Note 5 , but instead of a cheap feeling plastic build (apart from the Note 4) the new phone feels more up market and definitely worth a bit of a premium . Samsung was once praised for keeping removable batteries and MicroSD card slots on flagship devices in a age where they were replaced with non removable batteries and cloud storage but since the start of the year , all that basically went out of the door .The new Galaxy S6 ,S6 active and the S6 edge were some of the first devices to break the tradition but according to new leaks the upcoming device is also said to break the tradition . Samsung is said to be readying a new successor to the Note line this year , the Note 5 - which is set to bring the famous S-Pen functionality and beefier specs over the S6 is probably one reason people are holding out for the Note line rather than buying a S series device ,but according to rumors  , the Note 5 is expected to launch on the 12th of August with sales starting on the 21st of the same month .The handset - which like its older brethren still features a beefed up Exynos 7420/7422 Soc with a 5.6"+ SuperAmoled pannel which is said to feature 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and LTE support as well . As promised , Samsung launched the impressive Galaxy Note 4 at IFA today , but that doesn't mean that the company has shown everything , presenting the new Galaxy Note Edge . the Note Edge , which ,unlike previous Note's the new phone uses Samsung's YOUM flexible display technology , or in this case , curved OLED technology . Samsung has been making it a habit to launch their Note series of devices at IFA in Berlin , The German radio /telecommunications show has been the center stage for Samsung's previous Note II and Note III handsets as well as the Note tablet . This year , Samsung is set to launch their Galaxy Note 4 smartphone at a special "Unpacked" event on the 3rd of September , which will unveil the exact specs of Samsung's second flagship device .The main event in Berlin will be flanked by two simultaneous events in Beijing and NewYork which is similar to what they did last year . Just yesterday, we got hold of some leaked photos of the upcoming Pantech Vega Note. That smartphone has become official today and we’re discovering that the stylus-enabled Pantech Vega Secret Note sports some rather intriguing features indeed. It is unsurprising that the Pantech Vega Secret Note runs on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. However, it comes with a RAM size of 3 GB, which is not that common but is quite in line with its rival, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. And indeed, this device also sports an almost similar looking stylus which Pantech calls, unsurprisingly, the V Pen. The Vega Secret Note does sport a larger 5.9-inch display that still keeps the 1920×1080 Full HD resolution. It sports a 13 megapixel camera at the back and a 2 megapixel one on the front. It has 32 GB of storage but, quite surprisingly, also has USB host mode right off the bat, giving it access to external storage capacities of up to 2 TB. The Samsung Galaxy Note phablets are some of the best-selling smart devices around – the original Note has around 10 million sales to date, while the outgoing Note II has reached 30 million. There numbers come from general manager of Samsung Taiwan's mobile communication team Andy Tu. This sounds about right as JK Shin himself (Samsung Mobile's chief) said that the Galaxy Note line has sold over 38 million a couple of weeks ago. The Galaxy Note II has come a long way since it sold 3 million units a month after launch and reached 5 million units sold another month later. The pace is accelerating, however, as the original Note took until March 2012 to hit the 2 million mark and it launched in October 2011. The latest leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 show off what is allegedly the front panel of the devices. While no measurements were provided alongside the images, according to previous leaks the device is set to feature a 5.7-inch diagonal - up from the 5.5" on the Note II. After many different values for the screen diagonal of the Note III, the rumor mill seems to have settled on 5.7". That would make for another 0.2" jump, after the original Note had a 5.3" screen, and its sequel had a 5.5" display. Note that the image is a composite of two separate shots that have been scaled to match the alleged 5.7" diagonal of the Note III. More interesting is that the bezels are thinner (they measure just 2.2mm) and the whole panel is barely bigger. Depending on how the sides of the phone are made, the Note III can be as little as 1mm taller and wider than the Note II. Not seen in this photo, but the new panel is reportedly thinner too....

Unveiled less than two months ago, the S Pen-toting Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is already available in the US of A via a number of online retailers. That’s the good news, seeing as Sammy has kept its promise from a few days ago, but we also have some bad news for you. The 8-incher is up for grabs for a pricey $399.99, as expected. And that’s with just 16 GB of on-board storage and no cellular connectivity, mind you. How steep is that price? Pretty steep, but then again the GNote 8.0 doesn’t exactly play in the same league as Google’s Nexus 7 or Apple’s iPad Mini. Facebook unveiled its new Android experience earlier today , Facebook Home, which is a new people-based Facebook apps-rich user interface that will run on top of Android OS, virtually changing your mobile experience. While not all Android users out there will be interested in it, there are plenty of people that use their smartphones to log into Facebook apps on a daily basis. In fact, Facebook mobile apps are among the most used apps out there. Unfortunately, not all Android devices will be able to run Home as soon as the app launches. Initially only a bunch of Samsung and HTC devices will be supported by Facebook Home including the Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy Note 2, HTC One and HTC One X. A new report reveals that Samsung could unveil more Galaxy-branded products at IFA 2013 in Berlin, Germany, this September, including the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Tab 3. The info comes from Sam Mobile, whose insider had access to such details, although he wasn’t able to share any details about the Galaxy Tab 3’s hardware. The first Galaxy Tab model was also officially unveiled at IFA, back in 2010, while the second-generation tablet versions were announced at MWC 2012. The report also notes that these devices will apparently stop receiving support from Samsung, with the Galaxy Tab 2 set to stop at Android 4.2.2. The Galaxy Note 3, which recently appeared in another rumor claiming that AT&T execs will have access to a 5.9-inch mockup unit this week, will also be announced at IFA. Last week, following the introduction of the Galaxy S 4, we talked a little about Samsung’s promises to bring some of the GS4′s features to existing Samsung models. Today, we’re back to looking at what the future holds for updates to a number of Samsung devices, this time concerning the possibility of them seeing get Android 5.0. This info is supposedly a “pre-list” from a Samsung insider, and the data may change between now and when Samsung makes its final decisions. Basically, of all Samsung Androids currently announced, only the Galaxy S 4, the GS3, the Note II, Note 8.0, and Note 10.1 will make the leap to Android 5.0 . The device then prompts the user to enter the passcode to unlock the device. According to DigiTimes, our favorite Taiwanese news/rumor site, the South Korean hardware maker aims to ship about a million units of their 8 inch mobile phone every month. Is that a lot? Yes and no. Let’s look back to 2011 when Samsung announced the first generation Galaxy Note, the one with a 5.3 inch screen. Last year, in August, Samsung announced that they managed to sell 10 million of them. The device hit store shelves in October 2011, so that’s 10 million units in 11 months, or a little over 900,000 units per month. For Samsung to assume that the Note 8.0 will surpass the growth of the first Note says quite a lot. Will the Note 8.0 sell as fast as the Note II? Doubtful, purely due to size reasons, but hey, you never know!
