Wacom has taken the wraps off its two new Cintiq tablets, the Cintiq Companion running Windows 8 and the Cintiq Companion Hybrid running Android. Both allow users to take their graphic work on the road, although the Hybrid Android version is more limited than the Windows 8 variety. Both will begin rolling out later this year, with the Hybrid coming first. First up is the Cintiq Companion model, which features third-generation Intel Core processors and Intel HD Graphics 4000, as well as 8GB of RAM. The amount of on-board storage depends on which model you get, with two being offered: 16GB and 32GB. This model can run full versions of software used by professionals, and can be a complete experience in and of itself. The Cintiq Companion Hybrid, meanwhile, runs Android when used standalone, and can also funciton as a traditional Cintiq slate when connected to a PC or Mac. Acer reportedly plans to replace the first-gen Iconia W3, the first 8.1-inch Windows 8 tablet, with an updated version that could address screen complaints, potentially arriving as soon as September this year. The new model is expected to hit stores by the end of this quarter, Acer Netherlands spokesperson Star Swank told Tweakers, and be thinner and lighter than the current Iconia W3. Although Acer didn’t confirm it, the most important change is believed to be in the screen technology. The current Iconia W3 uses a TN-LCD panel which, supports only limited viewing angles, meaning as soon as you start to use the tablet off-center the image quality plummets. On the updated model, however, there’s a switch to IPS instead, which would deliver considerably greater viewing angles. It’s the same display technology as Apple uses on the iPad and Samsung uses on the Nexus 10, both of which have been praised for their screen quality. The official image of the upcoming Windows Phone 8 smartphone, the HTC Tiara has leaked. The design of the HTC Tiara is quite similar to the HTC One SV and the specifications of the device lies between that of HTC Windows Phone 8S and the HTC Windows Phone 8X. The HTC Tiara is rumored to sport a 4.3-inch Super LCD2 display of WVGA resolution and will be powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor along with 1 GB of RAM. HTC Tiara also features an 8 megapixel rear camera, 1.6 megapixel front shooter and 8GB internal memory. HTC Tiara will run on Windows Phone 8 OS and the juice for the smartphone will be provided by a 1,800mAh battery. Teasing its new ultrabook over a week ago, Asus has confirmed the launch of the 13.3-inch touch-enabled Zenbook Infinity at Computex 2013. Featuring an aluminum and glass design, the Zenbook Infinity is Asus' first laptop to use Gorilla Glass — on both the back of the display and the keyboard surround. It follows Acer with the inclusion of the Corning's scratch-resistant glass after it embedded it in the lids of the Aspire S3 and S7. Asus has included an Intel 28W dual-core Haswell processor, two USB 3.0 ports, a mini DisplayPort, and an SD card reader. With a thickness of 15.5mm, the Zenbook Infinity is 14 percent thinner than other Zenbook models and is expected to be available in Q3 2013.

If you thought ASUS was done announcing new products here at Computex, get ready for at least one more surprise. The company just unveiled the Transformer Book Trio, a so-called three-in-one device that combines bits of the laptop, desktop and tablet experience. At first glance, it sounds similar in concept to the Aspire R7 desktop-laptop-tablet that recently came out, but in fact, ASUS has taken a different tack altogether. This guy runs both Windows and Android. If you're wondering how that works, dual operating systems basically amounts to dual processors, with a fourth-generation Core i7 processor powering the Windows 8 experience, and an Intel Atom Z2580  chip handling Android Jelly Bean.Battery wise you get a 33Wh cell as well as a 19Wh one. We love it when the rumor mill is right. After plenty of speculation and leaks courtesy of Amazon and Acer Russia, the first 8-inch tablet running a full version of Windows 8 has arrived in the form of the Acer Iconia W3. It’ll be available starting June 4 and comes with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 pre-loaded. What makes the Iconia W3 such a big deal? For starters, Acer has taken the attitude of “Screw Windows RT” and put a fully functional version of Windows 8 on this little tablet. This means it’ll run all of the legacy x86 applications that run on every other version of Windows. At October's Windows Phone 8 launch event, Microsoft's Joe Belfiore stood on stage and eagerly announced a laundry list of popular apps that were confirmed to be coming to the platform in the coming months. To the delight of many, Pandora was on the list -- and to top it all off, the music streaming service would come ad-free for the first year. The question then shifted to when it would actually make it to the Windows Phone Store, and we finally have an answer: today. The free app will take advantage of a Live Tile in all three possible sizes, the two largest showing which song is currently playing, along with its album cover art. Pandora's arrival also marks another milestone: not only will it be available on Kids Corner, it's also the first app capable of automatically filtering out explicit content when the feature is activated.
