Samsung has officially announced their Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro - a tablet with better protection than your typical vanilla mobile device.  The Active 4 pro is powered by a unspecified %G compatible processor which we believe would be a high end or mid tier Snapdragon Soc and is paired with 6GB of RAM and has 128 GB of storage. The tablet also has microsd expansion. The tablet, unlike its peers, come with IP68 ingress protection, MIL-STD-810 H drop protection as well as a slot for Samsung's S-PEN stylus. The tablet also has a userreplaceable battery and is rated for 7600 mAh battery as well as a special POGO pin socket for charging. and bringing in some nostalgia from the past, the tablet also has Samsung's older design home and multitask keys as buttons and a main button with a fingerprint sensor sitting on a thick bezel around a 10.1" 1920x1080 display. Pricing is said to be GBP 749 and ships mid September  Samsung

Oppo's Realme sub-brand has announced their first Android tablet - the Realme Pad. The tablet , featuring a 10.4" 2000x1200 resolution LCD display has an impressive starting price of $190 and is powered by a Mediatek Helio G80 Soc and has either 3 or 4GB of RAM with 32/64GB onboard storage (expandable of course). The cameras on the device consist of a 8MP main sensor and a 8MP front camera as well, there is also a quad speaker setup with Dolby Atmos and it also sports a 7100 mah battery with 18W charging and reverse charging for charging other devices. The device runs on A ndroid 11 with realme UI and starts at $160 for the base 3/32GB option and $215 for the 4G base model and $245 for the LTE model with 4/64GB. the device is expected to go on sale in India and hopefully internationally with sales starting on the 16th of this month.  Source - GSMarena

Realme is set to launch their first tablet - the Realme Pad . At the moment, not much is known about the device except for a few leaks which point the device to be a true competitor to most tablet - including Samsung's Stylus equipped ones as the device fan renders show what looks to be a silo for a stylus ( Still no information on whether the stylus would be an active stylus or a glorified rubber tipped one) but whatever it is the attempt would certainly be a step in the right direction unlike Samsung. The Realme tablet also has a stripe at the back dividing the gradient and so far the images show a single rear camera. The specs of the tablet are not yet released (or leaked) at the time of writing. Samsung has announced their entry level Galaxy Tablet - the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite. The device, which falls into the Tab A7 lineup, offers an entry level option into the Samsung Tablet experience at $159 - below the larger Tab A7 which retails for $229. The tablet upfront features a 8.7" 1340x800 TFT display with a rather big top and bottom bezel. The top features a 2MP front sensor while the rear features a 8MP sensor . The processor - although not disclosed in the release is probably a Mediatek Helio P22T series as early rumors and leaks described this being the chipset. The chipset comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage or 4GB RAM and 64GB storage with expansion upto 1TB via microSD. The model comes with either Wifi only or as an LTE model and has a 5100 mAh battery with 15W fast charging via USB- C. Pricing starts at $159 and will be available starting June 10th and it will ship with Android 11 out of the box.  Source - Theverge  

Samsung has announced their latest "affordable" tablet with its S-Pen - the Tab S7 FE. The tablet, designed to offer a premium experience at a lower cost when compared to the flagship S7 series tablets. The device - launched in Europe for a price of EUR 649, comes with 64GB of base storage with a MicroSD expansion slot, and has 4GB of RAM which is paired together with a mid-range Snapdragon 750G chipset. The display of the tablet comes in at 12.4" TFT and it has a resolution of 2560x1600 with support for Samsung's famed S-Pen stylus, the front also has a 5MP front camera and a 8MP rear module.  Other specs on the tablet include a whopping 10090 mAh battery with 45W fast charging (Coupled with the midrange specs, this tablet will easily do two days), Samsung also has included support for its wireless keyboard cover as well as Wired and Wireless DEX. Apple has officially announced the new (new) iPad 2018. The new iPad , which is also known as the 6th generation iPad (Not counting the iPad Air and Pro tablets) was announced at a special Education themed event in Chicago (Mar 27) The tablet , which is quite similar to last year's iPad 2017 model , features an attractive $329 (same as last year) price which can drop to $299 for schools and education institutes, the tablet , aimed at students , also features support for the Apple Pencil stylus . Under the hood , the tablet features the Apple A10 Fusion chip - the same as the one found on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, the RAM on board is 2GB and the tablet can be bought in 32GB or 128GB variants . Microsoft has just anounced their latest update to the Surface Pro tablet lineup . The new Surface Pro (not the Surface pro 5) as it is called , is the 5th generation of the tablet lineup which was originally designed as a Jack of all trades tablet which would not being  compromise as rival premuim tablets do . The new Surface pro , equipped with the Base level Core M versions and  the Core i versions including a i5 and i7 option is probably the best bang for buck tablet or basically hybrid laptop even when you compare it against Microsoft's own Surface laptop . Nvidia has announced a new tablet with a focus on becoming more of a gaming console rather than  a standalone tablet .The tablet , named as JDX S192 is known as "Retro" and this is probably due to the fact that the internals are almost the same as the Nvidia K1 tablet .The retro tablet , armed with 2GB of RAM and a Quadcore  K1 Soc is somewhat old school in this day and age but the fact that it runs Android 4.2.2 Jellybean means that the device lives up to its Retro name indeed .The tablet features a 7" 1920x1080p IPS display , 32GB of storage and a massive 10,000 mAh battery along with a 13mp main snapper at the back .The tablet is said to go on sale starting May 6th for GBP 220 ($316). Amazon has refreshed their bargain bin tablet today ,the basic kindle fire 7" - a tablet with a 7" 1024x768 resolution display , 1gb of ram and a cortex A7 based Mediatek SOC was sold for a affordable $49 for just 8GB of storage ,and sometimes was sold in bulk packs of 6 .Although the black plastic slate was cheap and easily rootable in order to install Google apps on the Lolipop based Kindle OS , the tablet was a bit too dull looking and it lacked the design cues of its slightly expensive bretheren .But Amazon - in its annual refresh , has refreshed the tablet with 3 new colors - Orange ,Blue and Magenta ,the internals were left unchanged ,but the internal flash storage is now available with 16Gb as well . When a bunch of ex-Nokia employees started the Finnish based mobile enterprise -Jolla , they had a vision of creating something unique for the world which was in a hunger for artistic technology . Samsung has announced a new Windows 10 based tablet/laptop hybrid for 2016 - The Galaxy TabPRO S is a Intel powered device with a 12" display aimed at taking on products such as the iPad Pro and Microsofts Surface line of large screen hybrid devices . Apple has unveiled the long rumored iPad Pro - a 12.9" tablet designed for the workplace , although the tablet was long said to be just a myth ,the device was shown off in all its artistic and workhorse glory today (September 9) at a special event held in San Francisco .
