HTC First - Facebook's new home


As expected, Facebook unveiled today its latest mobile effort, an Android launcher called Facebook Home. While most of the event focused on the software features of Home, we also got to finally see how the first device to run Home out of the box would look like.

HTC’s CEO Peter Chou took the stage to present the HTC First, a mid-range 4.3-inch device designed to put “a user’s friends and family at the center of their mobile experience.” The device (previously known as Myst) was leaked earlier this week, so we didn’t get too many surprises in terms of specifications. These include:

 Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 dual-core
RAM: 1GB
Display: 4.3-inch LCD, 720p
Camera: 5MP rear, 1.6MP front
Connectivity: Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS
Four color options: red, blue, white, black
4G LTE
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean + HTC Sense 4.1 + Facebook Home
As for software features, the HTC First will be fully Facebook-centric.  Pricing was also released at the event - the phone will be available on AT&t for $99 on a  2 year  contract .The  phone will also go on contract across Europe with the first 2 carriers being France Telecom and T-Mobile UK and others (countries and carriers) will soon follow  .Pre Orders will start from today .

Apple iPhone 8 , 8 Plus and iPhone X announced

Apple has officially announced the iPhone 8  , the iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone X today at their special event held in Cupertino , California . HTC One to sell as TD 101 at China Mobile

HTC decided to invest in such a brand by launching the One series of smartphones last year, although the company was not able to impose its own product names to certain carriers.
