HTC M4 rumors surface again

Back when the HTC One was known to the media by its M7 codename, there were two other HTC phones rumored to come our way in the first half of 2013. These were dubbed M4 and G2 and looked basically like smaller and more modest cousins of the company’s latest flagship. You know, kind of like last year’s One S and V.

But with HTC having the crippled One release and now the Facebook-centric First on its plate , you’d think the M4 and G2 would be the least of the company’s concerns. Only that might not necessarily be the case, as one of our trusted Twitter sources has just updated M4’s known specs and features.

According to @LlabTooFer, the M4 is to come packing a dual-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 MSM8930 CPU and 1 GB of RAM. The 4.3-inch display should boast a 720p resolution, while the connectivity options will include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Glonass.

There will be only one version of the M4, with 16 GB of on-board storage, and on the back you’ll get one of HTC’s controversial new UltraPixel cameras with an unknown sensor. The front-facing shooter should be a 1.6 MP unit, while the on-board software will be Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean seasoned with HTC’s Sense 5.0 UI.

In a nutshell, that’s basically a rebranded First with no Facebook Home, an UltraPixel cam replacing the traditional 5 MP shooter of the First and an underclocked 1.2 GHz CPU. Oh, and with a small software bump – Android 4.2 plus Sense 5.0 vs. Android 4.1 with Sense 4.1. Doesn’t sound like a powerhouse, but if priced correctly it could help HTC capture the mid-range niche.

Nikon 850 gets leaked ......does the top feature a hybrid EVF?

Obtained by NikonRumors , these two leaked press images give us the first look into what the Nikon D850 actually looks like . TL:DR - Nikon D850 has a larger penta-prism buldge on top , and it no longer features a pop up flash . The bulge will feature connectivity options (Wifi ? Bluetooth and NFC? GPS?) rather than a hybrid EVF(as rumored by many) as locking up the mirror for on sensor detection is still in its infancy ) . Nikon will implement this technology in the future once the tech improves and costs drop down , but by that time they will just feature a Mirrorless lineup as well.
