Next generation Nexus 7 will pack some awesome specs for the buck - as revealed by this FCC certificate

A few weeks ago at Google I/O some of us were expecting new hardware, but the only new hardware that was unveiled during the event was a Samsung Galaxy S4 with stock Android, so we are still waiting on a new Nexus device and the Asus Nexus 7 should be one of the first devices to receive an upgrade. There is however some good news, because we spotted a new ASUS tablet at the FCC that is running on Android 4.3, which is expected shortly, and some other decent specifications, making it a serious iPad Mini competitor. The Asus K008/K009 stopped by at the Bluetooth SIG last week, where it was certified for Bluetooth 4.0 and the software version number made it clear it was running the unreleased version of Android (4.3).

This new tablet features a 7-inch 1080p or 1920 x 1200 display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro (APQ8064) and an Adreno 320 GPU. Last year this system-on-a-chip was mainly used for high-end smartphones and tablets. The device also has 3950mAh battery, 32GB of storage, 2GB of RAM, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 5-megapixel (back), NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11n with dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), LTE and possibly support for the Qi wireless charging standard. According to various other sources the Nexus 7 will include a thinner bezel around the edges and the thickness of the case should be around 7.5 and 8mm, making it quite a bit thinner than the current model.
Google is likely going to introduce the device around the launch of Android 4.3.3 Jelly Bean, although their is still a possibility that this will be released under the name of ASUS with stock Android running on the 7-inch tablet, just like they did with the Galaxy S4 and HTC One.Techtastic

HTC One to sell as TD 101 at China Mobile

HTC decided to invest in such a brand by launching the One series of smartphones last year, although the company was not able to impose its own product names to certain carriers. Then, just a few days ago, the company launched the HTC One, which is going to be the company’s only One-branded handset this year, a make-or-break kind of project for the Taiwanese Android maker that’s still having a tough time fighting against the competition, especially Samsung. We were under the impression that HTC will further invest in its One brand and not budge to carrier demands anymore when it comes to changing the name of the product – in the U.S., AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile are going to sell it as the HTC One. But it looks like things aren’t necessarily so, and no, it’s not Verizon that’s going to get its way selling the One as the Droid DNA Plus, as it was recently rumored. We’re looking at China Mobile this time around, which has announced the HTC One as the HTC TD 101. That’s certa...
