10 units of David Koma designed ,Limited Edition HTC One Mini smartphones up for grabs!

HTC has announced that it has teamed up with British designer David Koma to produce a special edition of the HTC One mini. An extremely limited production run of 10 units will be made and each phone will contain one of two distinctive patterns created by Koma. One pattern reflects his designs for the upcoming Autumn/Winter 2013 collection, and the other is a preview of his Spring/Summer 2014 show.

The designs are printed onto the aluminum back of the HTC One mini and the only way for consumers to obtain one is to win a contest being held over Twitter from September 4th through the 23rd by HTC's U.K. subsidiary. To enter, you need to submit your own design based on Koma's work using any medium or material, and reflecting the idea of "change". You then tweet your entry to #htckoma. The grand prize winner gets a signed print of the designs made by David Koma for the HTC One mini.

"The designs I’ve created for this special edition of the HTC One mini mirror the transition in style from my previous season’s collection to my upcoming one which will be presented during London Fashion Week. Pushing boundaries and exploring new techniques play a huge part in how I bring a collection together - taking part in this project has been a very exciting experience for me and an opportunity to find inspiration from working with new materials."-David Koma

"The dynamic and daring nature of David’s work is a perfect fit for HTC, where our goal is to enable and encourage young talent to drive change through creativity. These exclusive editions of the HTC One mini celebrate the simple beauty of the original handset we created and turn it into a must-have collector’s item for anyone who is a fan of David’s unique style."-Peter Frolund, General Manager, HTC U.K.

HTC One to sell as TD 101 at China Mobile

HTC decided to invest in such a brand by launching the One series of smartphones last year, although the company was not able to impose its own product names to certain carriers. Then, just a few days ago, the company launched the HTC One, which is going to be the company’s only One-branded handset this year, a make-or-break kind of project for the Taiwanese Android maker that’s still having a tough time fighting against the competition, especially Samsung. We were under the impression that HTC will further invest in its One brand and not budge to carrier demands anymore when it comes to changing the name of the product – in the U.S., AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile are going to sell it as the HTC One. But it looks like things aren’t necessarily so, and no, it’s not Verizon that’s going to get its way selling the One as the Droid DNA Plus, as it was recently rumored. We’re looking at China Mobile this time around, which has announced the HTC One as the HTC TD 101. That’s certa...
