MWC 2014 - HP Pavilion x360

This week HP has revealed the HP Pavilion x360, a convertible tablet PC that allows the user to work with a variety of use-case abilities. This device works with an 11.6-inch high-definition display with SVA technology and 10-point touchscreen capabilities. You’ll have Intel Pentium processor architecture under the hood and an HP TrueVision HD webcam up front for chat as well.

Inside you’ve got HP DataPass for 3G+ or 4G mobile broadband. This service allows the user to immediately connect to the internet with two years of free internet service powered by Fogg Mobile. Users will have up to 250mb of data for free with this service with additional data available for a fee - with no contract, mind you.

"The HP Pavilion x360 is perfect for today’s busy lifestyles. Its 360-degree hinge allows multitaskers to easily transition from laptop to tent to tablet. It’s the laptop that doesn’t make you miss your tablet and the tablet that doesn’t make you miss your laptop—all at a price that is similar to an entry-level notebook." - Ron Coughlin, senior vice president, Consumer PC and Solutions Group, HP

This device works with Windows 8 with its full collection of touch-friendly capabilities. You’ll have a notebook mode, a tent mode, or a tablet mode to work with, and two colors are available for the tablet from the first date of availability. Both Smoke Silver and Brilliant Red will be available to the public to compliment the built-in Beats Audio brand software enhancements for audio. This device also rolls with dual speakers from Beats Audio, ready for media playback galore.

This machine will be available on the 26th of February in the United States. There it’ll cost users a cool $399.99 USD right out of the box, and this includes HP DataPass as well.SlashGear

Then, just a few days ago, the company launched the HTC One, which is going to be the company’s only One-branded handset this year, a make-or-break kind of project for the Taiwanese Android maker that’s still having a tough time fighting against the competition, especially Samsung. We were under the impression that HTC will further invest in its One brand and not budge to carrier demands anymore when it comes to changing the name of the product – in the U.S., AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile are going to sell it as the HTC One. But it looks like things aren’t necessarily so, and no, it’s not Verizon that’s going to get its way selling the One as the Droid DNA Plus, as it was recently rumored. We’re looking at China Mobile this time around, which has announced the HTC One as the HTC TD 101. That’s certa...
