8GB iPhone 5C to be launched today ? (UPDATE - 8GB iPhone 5C is official)

UPDATE- The 8GB version of the iPhone 5C is official ,according to media reports , the 8GB version will be sold in Europe and some international countries such as China and Australia as well . The phone costs around $499 unlocked but The UK Online Apple store displays the phone to be 429 GBP .
The iPhone 5C , launched last year packs a Dual-Core Apple A6 processor, 1GB Ram ,8Megapixel camera and a 4" display which is same as the iPhone 5S , The shell of the iPhone 5C is made of polycarbonate and it comes out in 5 different color variants .The move to launch and replace old devices in not new because Apple has made the lightning port the new standard , older devices sporting the 30 pin adapter such as the iPad 2 have been eliminated today in favor of the iPad 4 , so the move to launch a cheap carrier iPhone will mark the end of the old generation contract-free iPhone 4S as well.

As far as the latest rumors go , Apple is planning to launch a 8GB version of their iPhone 5C at a lower cost starting from today .The iPhone 5C wasn't selling well because of its steep price and somewhat teen looks compared to the much more premium looking iPhone 5S . Apple is not new to the 8GB iphone idea because just last month , they recommissioned their mothballed fleet of iPhone 4 8GB's to India for around $300 , of course this being Apple , even a 8GB iPhone 5C might still be expensive for people to afford , but if the phone
sells through carriers , the iPhone 5C might still have a chance of being successful .

HTC One to sell as TD 101 at China Mobile

HTC decided to invest in such a brand by launching the One series of smartphones last year, although the company was not able to impose its own product names to certain carriers. Then, just a few days ago, the company launched the HTC One, which is going to be the company’s only One-branded handset this year, a make-or-break kind of project for the Taiwanese Android maker that’s still having a tough time fighting against the competition, especially Samsung. We were under the impression that HTC will further invest in its One brand and not budge to carrier demands anymore when it comes to changing the name of the product – in the U.S., AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile are going to sell it as the HTC One. But it looks like things aren’t necessarily so, and no, it’s not Verizon that’s going to get its way selling the One as the Droid DNA Plus, as it was recently rumored. We’re looking at China Mobile this time around, which has announced the HTC One as the HTC TD 101. That’s certa...
