Epic Games runs a Unreal Engine 4 demo on a Nexus 5

Mobile gaming has come a long way since the introduction of Angry Birds and Fruit ninja , The mobile game industry is now a million dollar industry where new games as well as old pc titles appear in touch screen format in all major platforms ,but even with all the new technology , Mobile devices have always been a few years behind their console counterparts .But as technology
moves on , we see the gap getting smaller and smaller , and as mobile chipsets get more capable each year ,the need to show off their capabilities get even higher , and so the popular game development company Epic Games , unveiled a little teaser of their highly anticipated Unreal Engine 4 on a device with a slightly old processor . The device is none other than the Nexus 5,which when it was rolled out , was one of the fastest devices around , but in less than a year,
Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 801 which bests the Snapdragon 800 found on the Nexus 5 and many other phones of last year.Although it is no longer the king of the hill, the processor is still one of the fastest  around , and this combined with the Unreal engine 4's user friendly programming tweaks ,and the Nexus's stock android , made the device the best candidate for the job .The demo is a real time rendering scene showcasing the high  capabilities of both the devices graphic and cpu prowess and the unreal engine 4's relative easiness to code for specific hardware .

While it might only be a real-time demo on a smartphone , this might actually be just the first step in closing the gap between mobiles and their bigger console counterparts in the near future .

HTC One to sell as TD 101 at China Mobile

HTC decided to invest in such a brand by launching the One series of smartphones last year, although the company was not able to impose its own product names to certain carriers. Then, just a few days ago, the company launched the HTC One, which is going to be the company’s only One-branded handset this year, a make-or-break kind of project for the Taiwanese Android maker that’s still having a tough time fighting against the competition, especially Samsung. We were under the impression that HTC will further invest in its One brand and not budge to carrier demands anymore when it comes to changing the name of the product – in the U.S., AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile are going to sell it as the HTC One. But it looks like things aren’t necessarily so, and no, it’s not Verizon that’s going to get its way selling the One as the Droid DNA Plus, as it was recently rumored. We’re looking at China Mobile this time around, which has announced the HTC One as the HTC TD 101. That’s certa...
