With the introduction of the Samsung ISOCELL camera module on the Galaxy S5 , The Korean giant hoped to end their dependency on outsourced camera modules . But unlike buying in bulk , the ISOCELL camera module is home made, but it is now blamed for the slowing down the production of the Galaxy S5 .The ISOCELL module's 6 plastic lenses were made thinner than the S4's 5 lenses , but in doing so , some of them produced defects and were causing problems , even still , the alignment of 6 lenses into the module are reported to be time consuming as well. The news might be bad for the S5 availability dates because the Korean company had a similar delay when one of their smartphone PCB factories caught fire 2 weeks ago .
According to ETNews The ISOCELL camera production Yield is only around 20-30% which is not upto mark because Samsung hopes to launch the smartphone on the 11th of April .
