Samsung has decided to pull the plug on Android 4.4 Kitkat updates for the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the S3 Mini , the Galaxy S3 was Samsung's flagship device in 2012 and it came as two versions with one running on the Snapdragon S4 chipset and the international version running on the Exynos 4 Quadcore chipset . The Samsung Galaxy s3 mini was also available in two variants . Most of the Snapdragon versions of the S3 have been replaced by carrier contacts but they are said to receive Android 4.4 in the future ,sadly the international version (Galaxy S3 i9300) and the S3 mini will not receive Android 4.4 Kitkat due to its low ram (like most other OEM skins , 1GB is no longer enough for Samsung's Skin - Touchwiz) . The phone joins the HTC One X as the second major 2012 flagship phone to receive the obsolete status .

“In order to facilitate an effective upgrade on the Google platform, various hardware performances such as the memory (RAM, ROM, etc.), multi-tasking capabilities, and display must meet certain technical expectations. The Galaxy S3 and S3 mini 3G versions come equipped with 1GB RAM, which does not allow them to effectively support the platform upgrade. As a result of the Galaxy S3 and S3 mini 3G versions’ hardware limitation, they cannot effectively support the platform upgrade while continuing to provide the best consumer experience. Samsung has decided not to roll-out the KitKat upgrade to Galaxy S3 and S3 mini 3G versions, and the KitKat upgrade will be available to the Galaxy S3 LTE version as the device’s 2GB RAM is enough to support the platform upgrade.”

Apple has announced their latest iteration of the iPad (entry level model) and the iPad Pro lineup with the new M2 processor. Nikon 850 gets leaked ......does the top feature a hybrid EVF?

Obtained by NikonRumors , these two leaked press images give us the first look into what the Nikon D850 actually looks like . TL:DR - Nikon D850 has a larger penta-prism buldge on top , and it no longer features a pop up flash . The bulge will feature connectivity options (Wifi ? Bluetooth and NFC? GPS?) rather than a hybrid EVF(as rumored by many) as locking up the mirror for on sensor detection is still in its infancy ) . Nikon will implement this technology in the future once the tech improves and costs drop down , but by that time they will just feature a Mirrorless lineup as well.
