Nokia X2 - Microsoft's Android #2

The Nokia X was not well received by the tech community , its lack of a home and menu button , rear flash , and a front facing camera and its lack of ram made it a dead on arrival device  . Nokia's new owner ,Microsoft quickly replaced the two month old Nokia X range with the Nokia X2 bringing some new specs and a still affordable price .

The Nokia X2 at first glance ,looks a lot like the Lumia 620 with its left bezel Nokia logo . the phone also has a new design with a transparent glass like coating surrounding  the plastic case making it feel like a holographic key tag .The phone now comes in a orange barley color and Nokia's signature Android green and Black (other colors will come later) . The back cover is still removable which gives you access to the MicroSD card , Sim slots and a 1800 mAh removable battery . This is perfectly enough to power the 4.3" IPS LCD which has a resolution of 480x800 and Clearblack technology .The Phone still has a windows phone inspired Metro UI type design which is similar to the earlier version of the Nokia X .The interface is built on top of Android 4.3 Jellybean and you can sideload Android APK's onto the device .Core Android apps such as Google play , Google Maps , Chrome , Gmail are not available because Microsoft has replaced them with their own versions such as Outlook , HERE maps and Bing search .The phone has archived multitasking thanks to the addition of two buttons (home and back) ,the home button does what its name says and the back button works either with one press where you are taken back and long press to multitask ,which takes you to a ios7 style multitask interface with apps running in a moving carousel . The Nokia x2 will have fast lane for task switching which can be accessed by swiping to the left from the homescreen ,Swiping to the left brings you to a app menu which looks a lot like the one found on WindowsPhone . Other features on the phone include a 5MP camera (up from the 3 mp found on the original) and it now has a Single rear LED flash . The phone also features a VGA front camera for video calls .The Nokia x2 is powered by a dual core Snapdragon 200 chipsets with  1GB or RAM (up from 512 found on the original) .The phone still has only 4GB of onboard storage , but you can add a external SD card upto 32GB . The phone will feature WIFI 802.11 A.B.G.n , Bluetooth 4.0 , and network speeds of 21mbps .The phone will also come with 15GB of OnDrive cloud storage and a new packaging thanks to Microsoft .The dual sim version will retail for $134 (99Euros) unlocked and will  ship during the next few days .
