Xiaomi's MI4 looks unapologetically premium

Wait , is that a iPh...never mind , well that's the first thought anyone who isn't tech savvy will thing when they see the Xiaomi Mi4 , the Phone , presented by the Chinese OEM that gave us hit products such as the Mi-Pad , Redmi Note ,Red Rice (not the grain) ,Mi 3 and ex - Google executive - Hugo Barra has now produced a new ,premium sequel to Xiaomi's Mi series . Dubbed the Mi 4 , this is basically , the "fastest" (one of the fastest) Android phone upto now.

The phone , which looks a bit Deja-vu is actually made out of SAE 304 stainless steel ,in layman terms , this is basically a term for good steel . The steel is pressed and shaped into a unibody design so this means the 3080 mAh battery is non accessible , the phone also lacks a MicroSD card slot ,but in return , the phone offers removable/custom back panels which come in the form of Wood(Bamboo) ,linen, leather and even marble .

The phone , although it is not given IP certification is said to be treated with a special nanocoating to make it dust and spill proof . The Phone , unlike most top models today ,has a slightly "small" JDI made  IPS display of 5.0 inches , but with the 1920x1080 resolution , the phone will surely be a eye-catcher as it has all the pixels (441ppi to be exact )   it needs . At its core , the phone packs a Qualcomm MSM8974AC chipset (Snapdragon 801)clocked to 2.5Ghz with Adreno 330 Graphics . The phone has 3GB of RAM and 16/64GB of internal storage(not expandable) . The phone features 4G LTE connectivity ,NFC,Wifi 802.11 A/b/g/n/AC as well as USB OTG . The cameras on the phone are also exceptionally brilliant . The rear has a 13MP sensor with HDR, 4K recording , and a  dual-LED flash. The front of the phone features a 8MP sensor with Sony's stacked sensor technology . The phone ,like most Xiaomi products come with MIUI onboard , but if you wan't you can add Google Play ,or root and reflash to a good Android ROM , but considering that this has Android 4.4.3 out of the box , you might wan't to wait to see how Xiaomi cooks up their next version of Android . The phone , like the highly successful Mi 3 ,will be sold at low prices with the base 16GB model costing $320 and the 64GB version costing $400 .

HTC One to sell as TD 101 at China Mobile

HTC decided to invest in such a brand by launching the One series of smartphones last year, although the company was not able to impose its own product names to certain carriers. Then, just a few days ago, the company launched the HTC One, which is going to be the company’s only One-branded handset this year, a make-or-break kind of project for the Taiwanese Android maker that’s still having a tough time fighting against the competition, especially Samsung. We were under the impression that HTC will further invest in its One brand and not budge to carrier demands anymore when it comes to changing the name of the product – in the U.S., AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile are going to sell it as the HTC One. But it looks like things aren’t necessarily so, and no, it’s not Verizon that’s going to get its way selling the One as the Droid DNA Plus, as it was recently rumored. We’re looking at China Mobile this time around, which has announced the HTC One as the HTC TD 101. That’s certa...
