Sony announces Xperia Z3+ - The Xperia Z4 for the rest of us .

Sony announced the Xperia Z4 for japan just last month , although fans expected a bit more in the form of a new design , the company instead went for a different route and polished the existing Z3 design with minimal changes and and flapless ports and launched it only for Japan , but today , we have the the phone available for the rest of the global market in a strange naming scheme - The Xperia Z3+

Say hello to the Sony Xperia Z3+  , the phone , which is the technical successor to the Xperia Z3 brings a 64bit chip , and a 32GB option instead of the 16GB entry level specification offered earlier , The Z3+ naming scheme was probably adopted as the phone is just a refined version of their older generation model  .The display is kept in the same 1080p resolution and it is still 5.2" .But dont't let its design fool you into thinking that thus is some run  off .under the sleek 6.9mm thin IP  IPX5/X8 water and dust protected chassis lies  Sony's new 64bit hardware- the controversial Snapdragon 810 Soc - a octa core processor which also comes with 3GB of RAM .

The storage of the phone is also upgraded to 32GB and you can expand it via MicroSD cards which will take cards upto 128GB . The phone also has the same 20.7 Sony camera module which has a 1/2.3 one-two thirds Sony image sensor with G Lens optics , the camera can capture images upto 12800 ISO and HDR video as well as 4K video , augmented reality as its predecessors . The phone also has a 5.1 MP 25mm Exmor R selfie camera .

Running Android 5.0.2 Lollipop , the phone is also one of the first devices to come with the update out of the box , the lollipop experience is said to have been enhanced by Sony - including the addition of more software tweaks for the camera  .The improvements in software is also said to play a part in achieving good battery life as the new model has a smaller battery capacity than the previous models . The 2930 mAh Li-ion battery is kind of small and on paper it looks like  a major drop from the 3100 and 3200 mAh batteries from the previous Z3 and Z2 smartphones launched last year , but Sony lists the new model to have 12 hours of talk time on 3G and 17 hours on 2G while maintaining a continous music playback upto 91 hours , Sony also has DSEE HX Audio support and LDAC audio codecs .

Pricing for the Xperia Z3+ is still not confirmed , but as all Sony smartphones are , the device will run in the $600+ ball park , the device will start shipping in June of this year and is said to be available in Black, White, Copper and Aqua Green

Nikon 850 gets leaked ......does the top feature a hybrid EVF?

Obtained by NikonRumors , these two leaked press images give us the first look into what the Nikon D850 actually looks like . TL:DR - Nikon D850 has a larger penta-prism buldge on top , and it no longer features a pop up flash . The bulge will feature connectivity options (Wifi ? Bluetooth and NFC? GPS?) rather than a hybrid EVF(as rumored by many) as locking up the mirror for on sensor detection is still in its infancy ) . Nikon will implement this technology in the future once the tech improves and costs drop down  , but by that time they will just feature a Mirrorless lineup as well. Although the new D850 shares the same DNA as its predecessor ,The first leaked images show us that the buttons are now illuminated , this is great for all those "Astrographers" who struggle with finding which is which on the 810 series as backlighting was left out . There is also a tiltable touch screen display and will certainly benefit all those who shoot like to shoot in odd an...
