Samsung Announces Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and 9.7

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy Tab S2 ,the S2 , a product line that features a 8.0 version and a slightly larger 9.7" one which replaces the older Tab S 8.4 and Tab S 10.5 from last year with a all new form factor and new hardware inside .Although both products were announced today , the official launch of the tablet is due next month and so far the prices are said to remain very similar to the original Tab S lineup from last year

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0

This is Samsung's Tab S 8.4 replacement for this year , unlike the previous 16:9/16:10 widescreen aspect ratios ,the new model features a portrait friendly 8" 4:3 aspect ratio ,this shift in aspect ratio does take some of the SuperAmoled displays high resolution off as the new model only has 2048x1536 px - a figure that gives it a lower PPI count than the outgoing model which had 2560x1600 .

Rest of the specs are impressive however , the Tablet is now powered by a Exynos 5433 Octa core which uses 4 A57 and 4 A53 cores clocked to 1.9Ghz and 1.3Ghz ,the tablets also feature a similar amount of ram as the older gen with 3GB of LPDDR3 .The tablet is also the first to jump the 16GB option and directly offer either 32/64GB+MicroSD expansion in the Samsung lineup . Battery on the device is said to be a 4000mAh unit which is a bit smaller than the older one , this is however a change that needed to be done in order to hold it in a 5.6mm chassis -a figure that exceeds that of rivals by huge margins .  The rear camera is still kept at 8MP with the omission of the LED flash

Specs at a glance
*8" 2048x1536 resolution SuperAMOLED display
*64 bit Samsung Exynos 5433 AP ,1.9 - 1.3Ghz Octa core (4+4)
3GB RAM , 32/64GB with MicroSD expansion
*optional LTE ,GPS+Glonass ,fingerprint sensor
*134.8 x 198.6 x 5.6mm, 265g
*8MP rear , no LED flash , 2.1 Mp front
*Android 5.0.2
*4000 mAh non removable battery

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7

This tablet is probably going to be Samsung's poster child tablet for a while , the flagship model which is expected to cost atleast a $100 more is basically a 9.7" version of the smaller 8.0 model with a few changes done to things like the battery and design .Overall the Tab S2 9.7 features a 169 x 237.3 x 5.6mm chassis , which still beats all thinness records set by other manufacturers .Apart from the thin chassis , the tablet still packs 3GB of RAM , 32/64Gb storage +microSD card and a 2048x1536 resolution SAMOLED display which is still setting the PPI count below the older Tab S 10.5 it replaces . The Tab S2 9.7 is also powered by the Exynos 5433 application processor

Specs at a glance
*9.7" 2048x1536 resolution SuperAMOLED display
*64 bit Samsung Exynos 5433 AP ,1.9 - 1.3Ghz Octa core (4+4)
3GB RAM , 32/64GB with MicroSD expansion
*optional LTE ,GPS+Glonass, fingerprint sensor
*169 x 237.3 x 5.6mm, 389g
*8MP rear , no LED flash , 2.1 Mp front
*Android 5.0.2
*5870 mAh non removable battery

Pricing for the new Tab S2 series is still kept secret , but considering that this is not a budget friendly tablet like the Tab A series , a $399 is probably expected of the 8" model .Samsung will officially reveal the tablet and launch it for sale next month

HTC One to sell as TD 101 at China Mobile

HTC decided to invest in such a brand by launching the One series of smartphones last year, although the company was not able to impose its own product names to certain carriers. Then, just a few days ago, the company launched the HTC One, which is going to be the company’s only One-branded handset this year, a make-or-break kind of project for the Taiwanese Android maker that’s still having a tough time fighting against the competition, especially Samsung. We were under the impression that HTC will further invest in its One brand and not budge to carrier demands anymore when it comes to changing the name of the product – in the U.S., AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile are going to sell it as the HTC One. But it looks like things aren’t necessarily so, and no, it’s not Verizon that’s going to get its way selling the One as the Droid DNA Plus, as it was recently rumored. We’re looking at China Mobile this time around, which has announced the HTC One as the HTC TD 101. That’s certa...

Apple has officially announced the iPhone 8  , the iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone X today at their special event held in Cupertino , California . The three new smartphones , announced right along side their new Apple TV 4K and the Apple Watch Series 3 with cellular support ,mark a new beginning for Apple as they set out to further refine the 10 year old legacy set by the original iPhone almost 10 years back . iPhone 8 and 8 Plus The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are basically successors to last year's iPhone 7 and 7 Plus models , the new duo - designed with glass backs and a metal frame , says goodbye to Apple's aluminum unibody construction as the new iPhones feature Qi Wireless charging (Metal backs are not very good for inductive charging ) . The phones , which still feature the same display sizes - 5.5" - iPhone 8 Plus and 4.7 " on the iPhone 8 will not "wow" anyone as they still feature no major resolution bump as well .But as they say , true beauty is ...
