IFA 2015 - Alcatel OneTouch Go Play and Go Watch


Although the  Idol series is making huge gains for the company,  Alcatel is still determined to keep their entry level segment up to date and this time they chose to launch their new products at IFA 2015 .Today , Alcatel anounced three new smartphones , a 17.3" Android tablet (Xess) and a new "smartwatch" called the OneTouch Go Watch  .

Although the name is a bit of a mouthfull , the phone is pretty basic and it is designed to be a workhorse to anyone who wants a inexpensive handset .The Android lollipop powered smartphone packs a 64bit  1.2Ghz Snapdragon 410 Soc , 1GB of RAM , 8GB of storage and a MicroSD expansion slot upto 32GB .The phone features a 5" 1080p IPS display and it features a 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera .The phone has a 2500 mAh battery and everything is well protected by the elements as this phone has a IP 67 Water and dust protection rating .Pricing for the device is not avilable yet , and considering Alcatel's affordable pricing schemes, the device should be quite cheap to buy off contract

Smartwatches are all the rave now , almost all OEM's have some sort of wearable now ,so Alcated tried their hand at making a second generation Smartwatch (again) the result is this , the OneTouch Go Watch , apart from the name , the watch is also one of the most colorful smartwatches to date . The watch , like its predecessor , runs a propitiatory software so it falls into the "other" group when you consider that it competes against Google's Android wear platform and Apple's Watch platforms . The watch has a 1.22" 240x204 LCD display , a 225mAh battery , a 180 Mhz Cortex M 4 -embedded Soc and a IP67 water and dust resistance rating .Pricing for this device is not available .
