LG V10

LG’s V10 brings more bells and whistles to the already great LG G4 launched earlier this year . The V10 improves upon some points and excels in others as LG hopes to take their successful smartphone recipe and make it appealing in a world dominated by Apple and Samsung .

The LG V10 ,like the G4 features a Snapdragon 808 Soc clocked to 1.44 Ghz . The chip , found i in LG’s current Nexus 5X and the G4 is slightly less powerful than the S810, but due to better thermal management this chip will not make it a oven glove like some rival products and its 4GB of Ram means apps will still run well . The display , or shall we say displays is very unique to this device as the 5.7 inch 2K (1440x2560) resolution display has a small 2.1”secondary display (160x1040) section which has small apps aimed at productivity , this feature works similar to the “edge” in Samsungs S6 and it can remain on even if the main display is off ,the IPS display is protected by a sheet of Gorilla Glass 4 . Camera wise , the phone still retains its flagship 16MP sensor which was used in the G4 . The sensor , which received excellent reviews is capable of 4K recording as well as RAW photo output , the sensor has a laser autofocus system and a new gen OIS (optical image stabilization) onboard ,the front features 2 5MP cameras with one tuned to take narrow FOV and another set to take a wide angle FOV .The phone also features a fingerprint sensor.
Storage on the device is quite good as the phone comes with 64GB as standard as well as a MicroSD expansion limit up to 128GB , and of course the pone features USB otg and quickcharge 4.0 for its 3000 mAh user replaceable battery .Running on Android 5.1.1 the V10 is still one of the few devices to ship with 5.1 out of the box and if you are worried about 6.0 well according to LG , marshmallow is said to arrive soon .

HTC One to sell as TD 101 at China Mobile

HTC decided to invest in such a brand by launching the One series of smartphones last year, although the company was not able to impose its own product names to certain carriers. Then, just a few days ago, the company launched the HTC One, which is going to be the company’s only One-branded handset this year, a make-or-break kind of project for the Taiwanese Android maker that’s still having a tough time fighting against the competition, especially Samsung. We were under the impression that HTC will further invest in its One brand and not budge to carrier demands anymore when it comes to changing the name of the product – in the U.S., AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile are going to sell it as the HTC One. But it looks like things aren’t necessarily so, and no, it’s not Verizon that’s going to get its way selling the One as the Droid DNA Plus, as it was recently rumored. We’re looking at China Mobile this time around, which has announced the HTC One as the HTC TD 101. That’s certa...
