Sony to announce new flagship spec smartphones at IFA 2017

Sony has so far built up a solid smartphone portfolio since the arrival of the Xperia Z in 2013 . The new phones , which still continue on the same DNA of waterproof candybar designs has so far evolved into 8 generations(Z ,Z1,Z2,Z3,Z4,Z5,XZ,XZ,XZpremuim and XZs) and is apparently set to be succeeded by the next generation of Sony Smartphones which will be unveiled at IFA 2017 .

The rumored phones ,Named - Xperia ZX1 (series) are said to feature 4.6" display and a 5.2" display and a larger edge to edge 6" display will be launched along with some of the latest Snapdragon 835 and 660 series processors . The 4.6" version , which is said to be the successor the Xperia compact lineup (Xperia ZX1 compact?) is said to have a Snapdragon 835 Soc and 4GB of ram , the camera information is not revealed yet , but we guess they will include the 19MP unit from the Xperia XZs which captures 960fps slow motion , if not they will include the 20MP unit from the previous generation XZ . Video recording will be 4K and it will have a 2800 mAh battery with an IP rating giving it water and dust resistance .

The rest of the rumored ZX1 series are said to feature a 5.2" 1080p model , which might be a successor of the ZXs , This is said to include a 3000mAh battery and 4GB ram with a Snapdragon 835 processor and the same camera said above . The other is said to be 6" behemoth with a Snapdragon 660 series processor .

All three versions are said to pack Android O out of the box (or Nougat) and cost around EUR 650 for the compact and EUR 760 for the XZ , but take these rumors with a grain of salt as European prices are generally higher than the set retail U.S dollar rate .

Sony is said to announce the rumored phones on the 31st of  August at IFA 2017

HTC One to sell as TD 101 at China Mobile

HTC decided to invest in such a brand by launching the One series of smartphones last year, although the company was not able to impose its own product names to certain carriers. Then, just a few days ago, the company launched the HTC One, which is going to be the company’s only One-branded handset this year, a make-or-break kind of project for the Taiwanese Android maker that’s still having a tough time fighting against the competition, especially Samsung. We were under the impression that HTC will further invest in its One brand and not budge to carrier demands anymore when it comes to changing the name of the product – in the U.S., AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile are going to sell it as the HTC One. But it looks like things aren’t necessarily so, and no, it’s not Verizon that’s going to get its way selling the One as the Droid DNA Plus, as it was recently rumored. We’re looking at China Mobile this time around, which has announced the HTC One as the HTC TD 101. That’s certa...
