Yongnuo has officially announced a 14mm f2.8 fish-eye lens for the Canon EF mount . The new lens , designed as a cheaper alternative to similar lenses from Canon and other third parties feature an f2.8 aperture , full manual and autofocus/manual control and a 7 bladed aperture for rounder Bokeh (Even Canon's own $2000+ 14mm f2.8 II version has 6 blades ) . The lens , designed with 12 elements in 9 groups offer a not so silent autofocus motor as well .
Although the lens is probably set to appeal to novice shooters who shy away from Canon's pricy offering , the lens does have one ace up its sleeve as the Micro USB port on the lens allows it to work with future firmware updates . Interested ? .. well Apparently Yongnuo will be selling the lens online for a mere ~$500 ( A Nikon F variant will also follow soon )
