Designed around ARRI's new LF - Large format sensor with a 36.7 x 25.54 mm size m the new ARRI Alexa LF is the latest 4.4K capable cinema camera from the German manufacturer . The new camera , designed to record 4K in 3 different sensor crop options -
LF 16:9 Sensor Mode - Maximizes lens options while meeting 4K deliverable standards in UHD 4K.
LF 2.39:1 Sensor Mode - Combines a cinematic widescreen image with high frame rates for slow motion
LF Open Gate Sensor Mode - Delivers the ALEXA family's optimal pixel size for highest overall image quality results in a 4448 x 3096 picture .

The ARRI LF ,with theoretically shoots 4.5K also has a Log C color profile and has a 16bit color depth. The camera has a F-LCOS -with 1280 x 768 pixel resolution viewfinder and also supports ARRI's 5GHZ video wireless transmission protocol (WVS), the camera also has dual audio channels and has a maximum broadcast range of 600m .

Designed around the ARRI LPL mount , the camera supports both ARRI and other 3rd party PL lenses*(with an adapter) and supports Anamorphic glass as well , the camera supports Anamorphic de-squeeze for 1.25x, 1.3x, 1.5x, 2x lens squeeze ratios .Also included with the camera body is a 8 slot carousel internal ND's (ND 0.3 to ND 2.4) .

With recording available in Apple ProRes 4444 XQ ,Apple ProRes 4444 , Apple ProRes 442 HQ ,Apple ProRes 442 and ARRIRAW at different bitrates , the camera supports SxS - SxS PRO+ 256GB (ProRes) and SXR Capture Drives - 1 TB or 2 TB (ARRIRAW or ProRes). Pricing for the ARRI Alexa LF starts at $98200 body only .
