Rugged phones seemed to be a niche in this day and age, with almost all offering IP certification and some form of durability in the form of glass and metal used, the days of offering a phone built like a tank are somewhat numbered, but for now the market still exists and Motorola with the new Defy aims to bring their offering to the table.
The new Moto Defy packs a Snapdragon 662 soc with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage with expansion. The model features a 48MP primary camera and 2MP depth and 2MP macro and a 8MP front facing camera. The front of the phone features 6.5" HD+ IPS display and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus by Corning. The phone has an IP68 certification and drop resistance from 1.8M and operating temperatures from -25 Celsius to +55 Celsius.
