Sony has announced their latest true wireless earbuds - the Sony WF-1000XM4. The new version - a "mark4" variant has improved on the outgoing model and uses a more advanced Sony V1 chip for better audio quality and process LDAC codec data which offers high-res audio with better audio compression than a typical bluetooth steam. The pair also features more advanced noise cancellation, redesigned drivers with larger magnets as well as support for Alexa and Google assistant as well . The USB-C equipped case offers QI wireless charging and charges the buds for a 60 minute playback time in 5 minutes, the earbuds alone last 8 hours playback with Noise Cancellation turned on and 24 hours of total playback when charged via the case. The case is IPX4 splash resistant and goes on sale for $280.
