OPPO's Realme division has set its sights on delivering designer-smartphones with the announcement of the Realme GT Master Edition and the Master Explorer edition- the phones - which are said to follow a industrial suitcase-esqe design by Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa and also come in a less flashier Vegan leather option as well. Being a more upmarket models of the Realme GT, it borrows most of the internals from the from the "stock" model - including the 6.43" display with 2400x1080 resolution - 120hz refresh rate, but the model comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset but has 8GB RAM/128GB storage or 8GB RAM /256GB storage on both the Master and Master Explorer models.
The main difference between the phones are in their camera departments where the Master model features a 64MP main,8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro while the Explorer features a 50MP IMX766 sensor with 16MP ultrawide and 2mp depth cameras, both models feature 32MP selfie cameras.
Rest of the specs include a 4300 mAh battery on the Master while the explorer gets a bump to 4500 mAh and they both support 65W fast charging as well.
The pricing for the GT Master Edition is 8GB/128GB – ¥2,399 ($371)and 8GB/256GB – ¥2,599 ($402) while the realme GT Master Explorer Edition starts with 8GB/128GB – ¥2,899 ($448) and has a 12GB/256GB – ¥3,199 ($494), Sales are said to start on the 27th of July.
