Leica TL2 Mirrorless camera announced

Leica has officially announced the successor to their TL series of mirrorless cameras today . The new TL2 , a camera which brings a unibody chassis system , 4K video and a sleek design is probably one of the best cameras from Leica - yet . The new camera , which as mentioned before , is milled from a single block of aluminum , which gives it more strength and a more luxurious feel (not to mention that Leica already has a luxurious image to itself already) .The monolithic design which is kept throughout the whole body is also carried over to the display which has replaced the traditional menu keys for a touch based interface which is also capable of tethering (via a TL app) directly with iOS and Android deices for wireless camera control . Nikon's D810 replacement to be announced on the 25th of July

Nikon D810 from 2014 Hark , the Nikon rumors sing! , Nikon's upcoming D810 successor is stated for a July 25th launch - the same day of Nikon's 100th anniversary . The special date , which will be celebrated with Nikon anniversary branded goodies including a special D5 ,D500 , the holy trinity ,pins and T shirts ,is also rumored to be the launch date of the new Nikon Full frame camera which would replace the D810 by improving the megapixel count to around 42-45 MP  and feature the expanded AF coverage featured on the Nikon D5 . The camera is also said to improve its ISO sensitivity , giving it some good low light capabilities and might have better dynamic range (hopefully) . Video features rumored for the upcoming camera might include 4K - a feature borrowed from the D500 and D5 and having it will give the camera an edge over competing products even if you plan not to use this as a main video camera (But expect to hear crowds of angry villagers with pitchforks roaring do...

RED HYDROGEN ONE - Red announces Android smartphone with "holographic" display

RED has just announced their new Hydrogen One - Android powered smartphone . The phone , which is basically a new product category to RED who mainly focused on high end modular cinema cameras with starting prices of $6000 for the cheapest model . The new Hydrogen One , which follows their chemical naming scheme reserved for their RED sensor equipped cameras is said to bring a 5.7" display with "holographic" 3D ,VR and AR support which does mean that the RED Hydrogen may have a Dual camera system similar to most of the "peasant" smartphones today . The specs , are still kept under wraps as the product is only available for retail in the first quarter of 2018 , but so far ,the brochure does indicate that the phone uses 3D stereoscopic speakers (which we think are front firing ) and will provide an immersive experience with their "H30 algorithm " which is said to give a lossless , live playback with sound altered to the content being viewed on the ...

GoPro 6 to be unveiled soon.

GoPro has so far been the prime target of just about every action maker out there , with knock offs and unique action cameras which can run rings around the current GoPro 5 , the urge to up the ante has been felt heavily by the company .With rivals like the Xiaomi Yi action cameras pushing 4k@60fps , chances are that GoPro will include this in their next iteration - the GoPro 6 which has been leaked in a Chinese wifi certification sheet . The sheet , which can be found here , lists a GoPro product without much detail except for an entry date , this however does hint that the company is preparing to go big with their announcement soon . Samsung Galaxy Note 8 dual camera set up gets leaked

The Note series has been somewhat of a controversial topic for Samsung recently ,the company , which lost billions over the Note 7 fiasco has so far recovered from the sudden nosedive , and are now preparing to courageously launch the next installment of the Galaxy Note series - The Note 8 . But as always , leakers apparently caught wind of this device and decided to apparently snap and leak pictures depicting a case and the dual camera module which can be seen above . Although we are not sure of the final specifications for the Note 8 , the rumors indicate that it will feature  6GB of RAM paired with a Snapdragon 835 processor or a Exynos 8895 processor depending on your location . Sony to announce new flagship spec smartphones at IFA 2017

Sony has so far built up a solid smartphone portfolio since the arrival of the Xperia Z in 2013 . The new phones , which still continue on the same DNA of waterproof candybar designs has so far evolved into 8 generations(Z ,Z1,Z2,Z3,Z4,Z5,XZ,XZ,XZpremuim and XZs) and is apparently set to be succeeded by the next generation of Sony Smartphones which will be unveiled at IFA 2017 . The rumored phones ,Named - Xperia ZX1 (series) are said to feature 4.6" display and a 5.2" display and a larger edge to edge 6" display will be launched along with some of the latest Snapdragon 835 and 660 series processors . Fotodiox has build up a solid reputation for producing cost -effective lens adapters for cameras . The company , in an attempt to lessen the burden of swapping multiple ND's when you change your vintage lenses around  has announced a new adapter which accepts pop in ND's and some slight bellowing when you want some slight macro effect -Say hello to the DLX Stretch by Fotodiox . Designed to accept Fotodiox mini -ND filters , the new adapter basically has a small mounting platform to which you can pop and place in a ND 4 , ND 8 or ND16 filter and not worry about buying different size filters for every lens you got ., this kind of works like those lenses with gel slots at the back ,and so if you want to change your ND , you will have to remove the magnetically mounted lens in order to access the filter which sits at the end of the adapter . Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2

Tamron has officially announced their long awaited SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2 or 24-70mm f2.8 G2 for short , which officially replaces the previous generation 24-70 medium zoom from 2012 . The new lens , which comes with the model number A032 is available for Nikon F mount and Canon's EF mount . The new G2 lens , which like the rest of Tamron's new generation lineup features a satin finish which gives it a more monolithic and a more upscale look when compared to the copper ringed models from a few years back .although looks are not important , the latest design trend does mean that the kit will match perfectly with the Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 G2 model which was announced a few months back(if you are after a Tamron holy trinity collection that is ) Anyways , the insides are what counts and in that regard , the new lens will surely outperform the older model as it now features 5 stops of vibration control (best in class) and fast autofocus thanks to dual embedded microprocess...

RED to anounce a new modular camera system

BMPCC via - Newshooter/Lockport RED - a company that has produced many great cinema camera systems is apparently rumored to be working on a modular platform which may be announced on the 6th of July 9next month) . The new camera system , which according to Newsshooter  , is said to be a new product category which wont rival current red cameras in any way . Although we are not sure of what they meant by it , some hints do shine on the fact that the new camera will be a small , modular camera system (similar to Blackmagic Pocket cinema camera) . Currently , RED is working on custom Super 35 sensors with PL or EF (and F formerly) mounts and therefore having a lower tier product below the RED raven (for drones and hand held gimbals) with the highly successful Micro 43 sensor (same as the BMPCC) or a custom sensor (the Newsshooter article listed below has ore info on that btw) will be a good move as it will open up the market for new cus...

Canon EOS SL2

The EOS SL2 is Canon's latest entry level DSLR camera for novice shooters .The camera(launched along side Canon's entry level Full Frame DSLR- the  6D Mark 2 ) ,is  designed for those who want to step up from a smartphone to the world of interchangeable lens camera systems will feel welcome as the SL2 improves on the Sl1 with the addition of a new GUI based interface , a 3" Variable angle touchscreen display and Canon's dual pixel CMOS technology on a 24.2 MP APS-C(x1.6crop) which also includes ISO compliant from 100-25600 and 9 AF points . Canon EOS 6D MKII is official

Canon has officially announced their latest entry level full frame DSLR camera . The new model , based on the previous 6D is given the title - 6D Mk 2 in Canon's traditional naming scheme . Starting from the design , the new camera still uses a hybrid metal and polycarbonate frame and is apparently the lightest 35mm DSLR in Canon camera in production yet . The new camera also has a fully articulating touchscreen display a - la Canon 80D (but at 3") . The body is also weather resistant. Switching over to the internals , we can clearly see ( based on previously leaked info )that the new 6Dmk2 has major improvements over its predecessor from 2012 in the photography department .
